Would sleep in my car before this place

When my friend and I went to our room we discovered that the room had 2 doors that opened to the outside neither of which had any type of security device on them, other than a door knob that locked. We reported it to the owner and he offered to move us to another room. We went to another room and it lacked the same security device on it. The extra security device had been removed? I then ask the owner to credit my credit card, because we did not feel safe staying there. He refused. I reported it to the corporate office and got no satisfaction. My friend and I had a get another room in that town but it was better than staying where we did not feel safe.
