Underwhelmed and disappointed

As a woman traveler,I looked forward to staying at the Hotel Lumen because of its convenient and safe location. It appeared attractive in the photos and description. However, I was very disappointed by my experience there. The only elevator from the lobby is accessed down what looks like a service hall. The rooms do not have the basic amenities that most chain hotels offer: coffee maker, ironing board, makeup mirror or even a telephone book. When I requested the latter, I was told there were none in the hotel. The small sink in my room abutted the walk-in shower, with almost no space to place items, and there were no towel racks. The lighting was terrible, and although the room was clean, overall I found it stark and depressing. I cut my stay short and left after the first night, moving to another hotel.
