Nice hotel
By Dave, 10/6/11
The room was very clean and very large for the price. Beds were comfy and we really liked the fireplace! Nice kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave and coffeemaker. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and still close enough to walk to the main shops. Free breakfast was filling. Very pretty pool when seen at night from the nice balcony. Everything seemed to work as it should. Would like to stay again.

A DUMP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/11
THE ROOM WE HAD SMELLED LIKE MOLD AND THE SINK FAUCETS SETUP MOVED EVERY TIME YOU TRIED TO TURN IT ON. WE WERE ASKED TO MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM SINCE THEY HAD ANOTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT WANTED ROOMS TOGETHER-- EVEN THOUGH WE ASKED FOR THE SAME THING WHEN WE MADE OUR RESERVATION. SO TO BE NICE WE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM. THIS ROOM WAS DIRTY, TOILET KEPT OVER FLOWING AND THE TUB WOULDN'T DRAIN. WHEN WE CALLED THE OFFICE WE WERE TOLD WE HAD TO GET THE PLUNGER FROM THE OFFICE AND FIX IT OURSELVES THEY WOULDN'T LEAVE THE OFFICE AT NIGHT. THAN THE CEILING START TO LEAK. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I DO A LOT OF TRAVELING AND THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL THAT I EVER STAYED IN . .

Great quality for a reasonable price
By JackPot25, 5/13/11
The staff were ultra polite. The room was so spotless, I thought it had been recently refurbished. I was advised that it was done 18 months earlier! Property is located away from the beaten path but still within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed with a refrigerator, microwave, free Wi-Fi and two queen-sized beds. Within 5 minutes walk are KFC, Peddler SteakHouse and Calhouns. And the Gatlinburg Convention Center is within 8 mintues walk

Great place to stay...A+++
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/11
Great place to stay for a Smoky Mountain vacation. The rooms were clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Were there for the Convention with much activity in the streets and around. Surprised at how quiet the rooms were. Very nice breakfasts! Location is short walk to the Convention Center. As a first time SA tourister, we also enjoyed the city tour by trolley bus (they pick you up at the hotel). Nice location, clean and priced right. A definate A +++

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/11
me and my family comes up to gatlinburg ever year and we come to the red roof inn evertime so here is my story about this place first i booked my room over the phone with a lady and 4 night everythin tax included for 180,25 and then when i get up here a differnent lady in the front deck said 238,25 and then the same lady was added it up again and told me 199.80 and then who every i booked the room first call and said doin it for 200.00 flat but the lady was workin the front deck at the time said NO so argure with this for 30 mins, and i got 4 different prices from 3 different... The remotes in the room dont work and i told the front office about it and they didnt do anythin about it ... PEOPLE DONT BE IN SALES IF THE DONT NO THE PRICES ON ROOM RATES. THE SALES FOR THE RED ROOF INN IS TRRIBBLE........ AND THEY STILL HAVENT SAID SORRY ABOUT THIS I WILL FIX IT OR NOTHIN....... Great service and good deal for the money.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/13/11
Spent a Friday night here with a friend. Very clean, beds where nice, pillow tops. Front desk actually called shortly after we got in our room to make sure all was ok. We had a water leak (10 pm) and the man at the front desk came immediately, he could not fix the problem and he moved us right then. Very nice and helpful.

Worth the price !!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/11
My family visited Gatlinburg for some Friday night skiing. We checked in around 5:00 PM and headed up the mountain for some skiing. The rooms were very basic but clean and well maintained. The linens and mattress were better than expected. The Continental breakfast was functional but slightly lacking in variety. Overall, well worth the money and we will return soon.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/10
Visited over the weekend (Saturday to Tuesday), had a lovely stay. The hotel was clean, staff was pleasant and the jacuzzi tub was great. Would recommend to others looking for a nice place to stay at a good price.

PIece of crap hotel will never stay again
By rose, 10/18/10
I made our reservation a few weeks before our arrival I asked for a river view. When we arrived my husband was told we had canceled our reservations (which we did not). We get a room finally and are walking back to the rooms with a river "view". I was already getting upset over this. It was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. Then we went to use our key and the door won't open. Went back to the front desk. The guy working was a real piece of work. He told my husband we were trying to get into the wrong room that our room was 133.. He wrote down on the key holder room 131. So he tried to program another key. Went back to the room and got in. HUbby went out for another load of luggage while I was going to use the restroom. Bathroom light did not work. Hubby is trying to get in door again.. key doesn't work. called front desk. after an hour the guy brings me a light bulb for me to change. He shows up to "fix" the door. He takes apart the door with a screw driver then says he has the wrong tools. He asks my husband if he has any tools with him. hubby told him no. the hotel guy says he can send maintenance in the morning to fix the door. I said not good enough I want it fixed now. I asked to be moved to another room. He said our original room was given away to someone else because we had canceled. I told him again we did not cancel. and in a real crappy tone he said well I know I didn't. he then said he could move us to a days in they also manage in gatlinburg. I told him fine to check to see if they have any rooms. instead he came back with another guy who changes out the battery pack in the door. so after being there for 3 hours the door is finally fixed. At this point I am fuming and ask for a 1 night refund from our bill. he said he would contact general manager.. well on day 4 he still had no answer from me. So i told him look. I will check back in that evening and I want an answer or I would be calling the red roof info center reservation center to complain and I know they don;t want me doing that. While in the office I heard other complaining they had no hot water. apparently 2 hot water heaters went out and these poor people had a wedding to go to. At some point the guy behind the counter said we are not a 3 star or even a 2 star hotel. he said have you seen this building. I mean come on.. what kind of employee says that about the hotel they are working at in front of customers. If nothing else this guy needs fired but I would never ever stay there again. It is a hell hole. Oh and the view I got was of another hotel about 5 feet away from ours. Now river view. no view of anything at all other than maybe the river of people from the other hotel..
