Hermitage Inn, Petersburg

I loved the food and the service there..they are really nice people and it has a nice pool.it is not noisy like other hotels.it is also in a good enviroment in a town called Petersburg.they have many resturants close by.i liked eating at familt traditions.they give you more for your money.the also have a pizza hut,Mc donalds,Mallow's road side cafe,denvers,fox's pizza den,sheetz,and many more friendly and enjoyable places to go.

We go every year. They are motorcycle friendly and the accomodations are fine for the price. The people are friendly and it is a close walk into town. Thumbs up for the Heritage Inn.

The beds were saggy. Carpet was filthy. Shower curtain - ugh - don't let it touch you. Everything was just OLD. It was quiet, however. But it was no bargain for the money.

Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. In the heart of Petersburg, close to everything. Some of the other reviews on here seem a little biased toward technology. You're in the mountains, surrounded by nature's best, forget the internet!

Such a small town, but close to all the major attractions. Everything in town is walkable from here. They have a really good restaruant. We were on our way to Canaan Valley to ski and the roads were too bad to continue. Everything had started closing as it was very late at night. As we pulled in, a car pulled out, but must have seen us walk to the door. She turned around and came back. Reopened the lodge office and got us settled in for the night. After doing all that, then she told us if we needed anything else, there was a night clerk to get in touch with. She didnt have to do all this, but we were grateful that she went out of her way on such a snowy night. We had to spend one more night as the roads were still not passable. We were able to walk around town in the snow. The housekeeping got us anything we wanted. My husband was able to use his wireless internet. Just overall, had a wonderful time. After eating their breakfast, we were able to get back on the road and went on to Canaan Valley. So this is a great experience. WE are going back this summer to see the attractions we missed. Staying here is a most definate!

The staff was really friendly and helpful.The beds are queens size so you aren't cramped and Non-smoking was offered. I really liked the value. Most Motels run around $70 to $90 a night, but we paid around $56.00 and they even ask if I had AAA, so I received the discount. I really like the pool since it was very hot that day. Will recommend and will go back again. I ask about internet service and they have the connections for AOL & Wireless. Imagine in a small town, such service!

My husband and I were looking for a place in the mountains where we could hike and relax for a few days. The Hermitage Inn is located in a very small, busy town with some of the nicest people we've met. The hotel was charming and its restaurant was wonderful. We couldn't believe the value for the quality and size of our meals. This is truly a gem, and we learned that it's actually for sale! Wish we could buy it!

Everything, Everyone was very helpful, The pool was clean and felt wonderful. The restaurant had great food, bar and room service. When asked for extra towels and pillows, came immediatly. Nice size beds and quiet rooms. Since it's downtown, we could walk everywhere. Mainly friendly people. I'll go back again.

Very helpful and friendly Place. Desk gave us wonderful directions to attractions. Rooms were big and queen size beds, they had smoking and nonsmoking rooms, which is great. Didn't feel cramped in the rooms. Very clean! Pool was very clean and felt refreshing. Restaurant had some of the best food in the area. I would stay again. Also they had AOL connection. They have my vote!
