Acceptable but not Exceptional
My husband and I live right here in North Charleston, which is about 15-20 minutes from Mt. Pleasant. In fact, my husband works for the Town of Mt. Pleasant. He wanted an overnight stay in a B&B for his b-day, so I booked the Old Village Post House.
Let me relay the good points:
Great location - near downtown and beaches
Great atmosphere
Room was clean
Breakfast was great
Restaurant is Fabulous
Now let me relay some small complaints:
We stayed in one of the smaller rooms right above the restaurant - don't make the same mistake. They really need to change the mattresses in those rooms. Let's just say I've had a better night's sleep elsewhere. I almost wanted to get up in the middle of the night and drive back to my own bed in North Charleston.
I recommend you booking a room on the third floor away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant.
Would I stay here again? Maybe...but you'll be guaranteed that I'll be asking them when the last time was they put in new mattresses and I will be staying on the third floor above the noise.
