Acceptable but not Exceptional
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/07
My husband and I live right here in North Charleston, which is about 15-20 minutes from Mt. Pleasant. In fact, my husband works for the Town of Mt. Pleasant. He wanted an overnight stay in a B&B for his b-day, so I booked the Old Village Post House. Let me relay the good points: Great location - near downtown and beaches Great atmosphere Room was clean Breakfast was great Restaurant is Fabulous Now let me relay some small complaints: We stayed in one of the smaller rooms right above the restaurant - don't make the same mistake. They really need to change the mattresses in those rooms. Let's just say I've had a better night's sleep elsewhere. I almost wanted to get up in the middle of the night and drive back to my own bed in North Charleston. I recommend you booking a room on the third floor away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. Would I stay here again? Maybe...but you'll be guaranteed that I'll be asking them when the last time was they put in new mattresses and I will be staying on the third floor above the noise. TD North Charleston, SC

Wonderful Valentine's Day Dinner Experience
By Allyson, 02/16/06
The Old Village Post House Restaurant was an incredible experience. We were there our first time for Valentine's Day Dinner. Our wait person was exceptionally nice, personable, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was outstanding. The pate was one of the bests that I have ever tried. The setting was beautiful and romantic. It was everything that everyone has told me. We will definitely come back. Sincerely, Allyson Harter

Very warm and loaded with Southern Hospitality! Food was awesome! This won't be a hidden secret for long.

Go for the Food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/05
Spent three nights at the B&B. Nice but not stunning and had a looonnngg flight of stairs to my room. Food was delicious though and worth putting up with the stairs.
