Dunes Manor Hotel, Ocean City

Wonderful cheap winter get-away ! It was like having Ocean City all to ourselves. Clean Room upper floor over looking a Winter Ocean. Great get away from the winter days at home. Not much open in town. Was like a ghost town. Loved it. Will go again next year a great value.

I loved everything about this hotel and location. I went in November and had a great time. The hotel is charming and welcoming. The service was fantastic. Everything was perfect. I look forward to returning.

I stayed at the Dunes Manor Hotel for the Realtors' Convention in Sept '05. EVERYTHING about this hotel is wonderful. The Victorian theme brings back the feeling of a bygone era down to the piano in the lobby. The afternoon tea is delightful, and you can take your tea and cookies out to the veranda and sit in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the view. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is only one block from the boardwalk. It is close enough to walk to the boardwalk, but far enough away to have a quiet evening on your balcony. (Every room has a oceanfront balcony) Whenever I go to OC from now on I will stay at the Dunes Manor Hotel. I found NOTHING to dislike about this hotel.

Great location--right on the ocean and only one block from broadwalk!! Quiet and clean property with friendly service. Felt welcome from check-in to check out.

Great location on the beach; One block from the boardwalk. Friendly staff, good food and service. The food was good but the delivery could be a bit faster at the dining restaurant. We had kids, and the hotel arranged for us to rent kribs from a third party, so we did not mind the extra cost for the convenience. Need to get an ATM machine on premises. Definately coming back!

At tea, the homemade tea is the best in town,and the cookies are great, and the krumpets remind me of the old days when my aunt would make them for breakfast. and the hand dipped strawberris are sweet and flavoring.i had a great stay here and would love to come again.there was nothing that i disliked about this hotel.i'll definetly stay here again!!!oh and the ocean veiw is absoultly beautiful!!!!!!!!!

We visited O.C. two years ago and stayed at the Roadway Inn (the old part near the road) and it was awful. The room was very old and dingy and small. There was much noise from the road at night and for what we paid we were very disappointed. During this stay we had walked to Dunes Manor for breakfast and were very pleased with the food and service. It seemed like a much nicer place to stay so I figured it was going to be much more expensive. However, when I checked into the rates, I was pleasantly surprised. We reserved a corner room this year (2005)(which has two queen, not double beds)and we loved it! The view of the beach was great (every room is oceanfront). The customer service was exceptional. Our room was spotless and had many amenities such as coffee maker, refrig., iron, hairdryer. I can't speak highly enough about it. The only minor thing that was inconvenient at times was the wait for the elevator, however, it was not too bad most of the time. The employees were always very pleasant and we always felt valued as guests. I highly recommend this place, and even though it seems to attract an older crowd, we saw a lot of families with children too. However, it was definitely not a noisy, stay up late crowd, which we hate.

I stayed at the Dunes several years ago and enjoyed my time there. After meeting and eventually marrying my wonderful new husband, we stayed at the Dunes for our honeymoon. He loved it! We loved the peace and quiet. We loved the view! (we always request higher floors) And we especially enjoyed not having many small children and noisey teens running through the hotel. The Dunes seems (perhaps it just seems this way) to cater to mature audiences. My husband and I visit twice annually these days. I daydream about our next get-away!

Start off with the most important factor...all ocean front rooms!! Why get a hotel room facing the street? Dunes Manor is decorating a lovely victorian style, has a wonderful resturant and I really enjoyed the rocking chairs along the patio of the hotel. It is located at the very end of the boardwalk...quiet but still closed enough to where all the action and fun is. The staff was perfect and the maid service was excellent. I meet with manager who assisted with High Time Tea that's offered everyday, and really enjoyed our conversation. I suggest Dunes Manor to anyone that visits O.C. with vacation in mind and not mindless partying.
