Sea Foam Motel, Nags Head

My family have been going to the Sea Foam for over thirty years. Had my grandchildren there this past summer for the first from Maine. I did a scrapbook for my mother for Christmas this year of all of us together at the Sea Foam, a place that we think of as almost holy ground. We worry about it during storms and it has had close calls in the past. We drive down after real bad storms just to see that the le cur de la Mar ( heart of the ocean) is still there. Screen doors on the back & front doors of your room, large ice machine, clean towels every morning, and very quiet section of the beach. We all love, love, love the Sea Foam!!!

In a million years, I never thought I would stay at a hotel that was occuppied by more roaches than people. Keep an eye out for them in the evening. They come pooring out of the cracked sidewalks and walls. Consider them souvenirs, once they hop in your suitcase and travel home with you.

Seeing the reviews and history of this motel we thought it would be fun. Access to the beach, the beach area, the housekeeping staff are the best. Upon arrival we found the manager to be very unfriendly, we felt like we were bothering her to have to check in. The pool is suppose to be heated but it is very cold. We had paint chips/ large scrapes with missing paint, lamps that only worked when you turned the light bulb, front door that had an uneven closer about 1/4" gap that created leaving an open space to the outside letting all kinds of insects, ants, roaches, and mice in. We did not complain at check out because of the poor reception we received from the manger when we checked in.

the seafoam is great, rarely do you need a reservation and if you get a romm on the ground floor, open the back door and you're on the beach. It's great and about as cheap as you can get at 90 bucks. The rooms do have a kind of lived in look, but who cares. You want fancy rent a house in corolla for 4 grand a week off season

great place to go to if you want to have a vacation. clean and has a great beach. a must go for visitors. and it has great service.

We liked the front and back balconeys. The place was very clean. We were able to pull in and get a room for three days without a reservation. The staff and maids were great and friendly. We will stay there next year.

My son lives in Manteo and we visit a couple a times a year. Stayed a couple of times at SEA FOAM. Just love it there. Great value for the price.

This was our first stay in Nags Head, we came down from Pennsylvania for Harley Bike weekend. With no reservations we pulled in and were able to get a very nice room for the weekend. The manager and her husband our great people, They even lent me some tools to fix my broken chain on my bike the first day I was there. The room was very clean and well kept, I would recommend the Sea Foam to anyone.

My girlfriends and I just spent the weekend here-it was wonderful! Love being able to open a screen door at the back of our room and step out on the sand. We will definitely be back!

Kitchen supplies dirty & beat up. Cable tv - nice static! Heated pool - ice water! Moldy shower stall, ants & roaches running everywhere! Beach access is rocky, exhausting and has extremely limited space without being in the ocean. I'll pitch a tent next time!!!!
