Weston's Resort, Englewood

It was our first time staying at Weston's. The people were very nice. They kept the cabana's and the sidewalk swept everyday. It's not a new or fancy place but it was very nice. Enjoyed the privacy. The location is perfect. Beach outside your front door. Bay in walking distance, with two private docks. They also have two very clean swimming pools. We enjoyed our family vaction in Englewood. We will be staying at Weston's Resort on our return trip.

We have been going to Weston's for years. It has become more filthy with each year and the owner keeps tabs if your complaints . She told my mother "well didn't you complain about the broken bed last year". We had a large amount of feces on the toilet scrubber last year, ugghh! We have continued to go the last few years because they allow dogs. This year we hear they have cleaned up a bit, but now no dogs allowed. I am saddened we will not be back. Lots of family memories and met lots of nice people (mostly Floridians go here).

My family has been going to Weston's for over 40 years and we won't be going back next year. Weston's has never been a real fancy place but we stayed there for the family atmosphere. Unfortunately, Weston's has become a dump and the rudeness of the property manager, Mary, has become unbearable. I was told by someone in management that the owner is trying to sell and won't put any money into repairs. The prices are too high for the poor quality rooms. The mattresses are worn and appliances hardly work. The dock is falling apart. It's hard to believe that this place used to be packed all summer and people stood in line in January just to get the chance to have a room in the summer. Do yourself a favor and find a better place elsewhere on this beautiful beach.

My family and i are going back there for our third year in august. This resort is such a treat, i don't know why you wouldn't like it. Although the condition of the rooms isn't the best. the fact that the beach is right outside the door is just amazing. there are tons of wildlife (dolphins,manatees), seashells, and shark teeth. This place is what got me interested in my favorite hobby.......collecting seashells. I love the Weston's resort!!! It is my favorite place in the world!!!!!

Weston's is a fabulous place to stay!!! We love it there. Our room has always been clean. The pools are clean. The grounds are clean. What do these people want? We have always found the employees to be helpful and willing to go out of their way!!! We will be returning - for our eighth year in a row!!!!

We go to Weston's all the time and have never had any on these problems.Especially with the staff,from the office to maintenance to the housekeeping. If we ever had problem it was always taken care of immediately.As far as kids,kids are always treated well,but then again we watch our children and respect the other guest.All i can say,try it for yourself...don't let these reviews turn you away.And if you don't come,it's more room for us to enjoy.

This place is so lucky that it has such a beautiful beach otherwise no one would go there. It is so dirty. We should have thought twice when they told us that we needed to bring our own coffee maker and if we used the toliet paper up they dont supply any more lol lol. Well the dust on the closet doors and air vents was so thick that it looked like a small animal was living there. And what did we pay for this little heaven on earth $219. per night. Boy did we get taken. If you are looking to come to stay in Englewood Florida on the water think twice before you stay at Weston Resort. Sincerely, Weekend Traveler

We stayed there once in the 3 story building. Great view. One very large roach not a big deal. No service - Ok, Expected. We had guests of over and I paid the extra $15 dollars for EACH guest a day that stayed but the staff kept complaining that we had to many visitors taking the parking spaces. Tried to reserve a room again on Memorial Day weekend. "Mary" took my reservation. Called Mary again to add a boat slip rental to my reservation and after she got done hazzling me about only paying visitors can set foot on my boat from their dock, which I'm ok with. She floored me by saying they got complaints about our 3 boys running in the halls up until midnight. I don't have 3 boys. She didn't believe me. None of our visitors were boys. I have a son and daughter who were in bed at midnight. I complained that we were innocent and shouldn't be accused so she said its better they cancel my reservation. Better for her now that its almost the holiday and I don't have a place. Mary then said it had to be us because we were the only ones checkin with kids. She never said sorry and that it most have been a misunderstanding. She just said you are SOL and hung up. They don't ask for reviews of their place and our stay - Wonder Why?

Have been staying at Weston's for about 7 years on an annual fall stay with friends. Alays been a beautiful location, so-so on prices. Mostly appeals to retirees, young families, and those who like to fish. Its never been luxurious, but on a recent stay it became obvious they have not been investing any money in it for several years (supposedly it is in the process of being sold for redevelopment), so its in rough shape and getting worse. Rental boats are gone, pools need resurfacing and daily maintenance, and everything outside and inside needs cleaning and refurbishment. Bugs everywhere. Staff is not customer focused, and can be downright surly - probably a result of the lack of investment and management attention. My advice is to look elsewhere.

We rented a room and was only partially clean, floors were very dirty, bathroom was clean. My sons room has roaches and he had to leave and stayed in our room. Westons REFUSED to refund the money for the room with roaches, I guess they consider that clean. Will NEVER stay there again.
