Water's Edge Inn, Old Forge

We loved that there was a separate sitting area in the room so that once our toddler was asleep - we could stay up and watch tv or go outside to the private balcony. The views from the hotel were great too. Loved that we could walk to Enchanted Forest and restaurants. The pool area was okay - not very big but it was not busy when we were there. The complimentary breakfast was great! There were bagels, muffins, donuts, cereals, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. Overall, we had an excellent time and will definitely return!

This place is the best hotel around Old Forge. Great service, friendly people, and a nice indoor swimming pool. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely want to stay here again soon! I would recommend this hotel to all individuals looking for a place to stay while in Old Forge. Close to great restaurants and shopping.

I have been to Old Forge four times. I have stayed at this hotel the last two times. My family could not be happier. The hotel is right in the center of town and you can walk to almost everything. The rooms are very clean and the view of the lake is excellent. (I would pay the extra 10 dollars for the view). The continental breakfast was nice. It consisted of donuts, bagels, cereal and fresh fruit. The indoor pool is very well maintained and good in size. The only negative I had about the two weekends my family and I spent at the Water's Edge was that they had to end. I know that my family will be back to Old Forge and to the Water's Edge in the future.

WE STAYED FOUR DAYS AND NIGHTS IN OCT, 2007 AND HAD A GOOD TIME OVERALL, WE STAYED IN A MOUNTAIN SUITE. THE LOCATION AND VIEW OF THE LAKE IS UNMATCHED. THE DEER WOULD COME AROUND IN THE EARLY EVENING AND EAT APPLES FROM OUR HANDS. THE ROOM IS AS ADVERTISED , TWO FLOORS, TWO BEDROOMS, A LIVING AREA, WET BAR, AND TWO BATHROOMS. THE MASTER BATH HAS A JUCCUZI TUB THAT PROVED QUITE RELAXING. THE VALUE OF THIS ROOM WAS OKAY BECAUSE WE WERE THERE DURING THE OFF SEASON. HOWEVER THERE WERE SOME CLEANLINESS ISSUES. THE PLASTIC TRIM IN THE BATH EXHAUST CONTAINED DEAD BUGS AND OTHER STUFF, AND THERE WERE SOME SCRATCHES ON THE WALL THAT COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANED UP. OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD AND WE ARE GOING TO BOOK IT AGAIN NEXT FALL. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE TRAIN RIDE !!! MIKE AND VAL, SAN DIEGO

Great location--in town, near fun & food. Spectacular views--pay extra for lakeside rooms--it's worth it! Good service which is getting better--new owners!! Same price as everything else in town but so much nicer. Pool, high speed internet.

Great location--right across from the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari. Nice pool.. Nice view of the lake. Same price as other hotels, but much nicer! Great staff, top notch service.
