Not Recommended
By Binsan, 5/27/08
There was no exhaust fan in the restroom. when I talk to front desk he said: "during entire summer nobody complained about it" but I got the fan installed within few minutes and explained to me that he never got chance to install them. I guess he was trying to reduce his electricity bill by removing them out from the bathroom. The morning breakfast was not continental. I was barred from carrying a cup of coffee from breakfast room to my room. The beds were okay but not worth $100.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/07
The owner and his wife did not speak very well and were not good on the computer. He jacks the price wayyyyyyyyyy up on holidays and was very rude when I questioned the price. He also somehow does not get an email booking saying they (head office) did not send him the reservation. The sheets were old and did not fit the bed properly. the room was not clean and under the bed was disgusting. I would NEVER go there ever. When I told him I was going to complain he said go ahead I own this motel.

Never going back to the Thriftlodge!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/7/05
My boyfriend and I also had a bad experience. The heat in our room didn't work!!!! It's not like it took awhile to heat up, it just never did. The location was fine we were there to shop and just escape reality. The value was crap I paid like 70 something CAD and froze my ass off all night. The cleanliness was moderate there was still that last client stench lingering, but other then that.... HAHA don't use this motel there was right next door that was much cheaper and warm and clean that you would be better off at.

What a dump!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/04
The room was freezing cold. And took forever to heat up. I had to pay a $20.00 deposit on the phone and I was charged 50 cents for local phone calls.
