Not bad
The good:
. freshly renovated cottages -- at least, ours was;
. scenic location -- right in the Truro's dunes; Provincetown can be
seen right across the bay;
. friendly service -- there was no hairdryer, but we quickly got it,
when we asked;
. decent kitchen -- with stove, microwave (albeit, heckticly
working), big fridge and plenty of pans, china, and glass -- which
you are expected to wash after use;
. not luxurious, but convenient living room with chairs, couch, a TV
(with cable);
. the deck -- shared with other cottages -- has beach chairs, Sun
umbrellas, and a barbeque; the view from it is pleasant and
relaxing.
The not-so-good:
. hot water -- even the first person taking a shower is unlikely to
need to mix hot water with cold. The second person will shiver --
and this with the supposedly brand new water heater;
. an ancient telephone with ancient service plan (calling cards
only, no incoming calls) -- bring your cell phone(s);
. beddings or furniture quickly triggered allergic reaction in my
girlfriend -- most probably, dust mites -- we know of this allergy
and the Claritin she took helped;
. the check-out time is 10am -- we asked, and were allowed to stay a
little later, but considering, that we checked in on Friday at 8:30pm,
and the motel was _deserted_ Sunday morning, we saw no reason for
the proprietess to insist, we leave before noon or pay for another
day;
. the pricing is unobvious and varies depending on the number of
occupants -- I was quoted a lower price by e-mail and had to insist
on it, when I called to make the reservation;
. the cottages are billed "Beachfront", but are, in fact
"Dunefront" -- which may or may not be what you want -- dunes are
quite scenic, but they are not "beach".
Enough ranting -- if the weather was better, I probably, would've liked it more.
