Great Time, As Always.

Great for families. Nice, clean rooms. Plenty to do for all ages. Best staff of any hotel on Cape Cod!

Fun times at Bayside
By ,
I have stayed at the Bayside Resort 5-6 times in the last couple of years. They have clean rooms, the staff has always been very friendly, they have both an indoor and out door pools. The outdoor pool area has a nice volley ball court and a bar. The indoor pool has sauna's and a hot tub. They are centrally located in the main area of town. They have a nice little arcade for kids, they serve a GREAT free breakfast every morning. The hotel is older but it has been kept up very nicely. I have never had a bad experience when I go there. During peak season there are a lot of kids there but I think that would be everywhere on the Cape. I just love it there and will return over and over!

Worst hotel experience of my life
By ,
I brought my wife and two young children for an Easter weekend getaway. I was not aware that a block of rooms nearby were taken by a group that wanted to get drunk and party all night. We tried to ignore the noise but after midnight, my wife asked the group to keep the noise down. They got louder. After two more tries, we contacted the front desk. The night manager stopped by for about a minute asking the group to quiet down. As soon as he left, the drunken mob was angry at us and started slamming into our door. When my wife opened the door to complain, they started to push her around. As soon as I stepped out of the door to help my wife, I was beaten by this drunken mob as my children in the room were terrified. My eye glasses were punched into my face causing me to bleed profusely. I was beaten and kicked as I lay on the hallway floor. My wife also has bruises all over her body. A couple across the hall called the police, but the damage was already done. When the police arrived, the attackers scattered. Some were in rooms on our floor while others were not even guests of the hotel. There are no cameras, no security and a night manager who would rather not get involved. The management told me that there was nothing that they can do because they have no way of knowing who was at fault. Unbelievable. My face is cut up, my wife is bruised and my children are traumatized. Good place if you want to party all night long. Bad place to bring a family. Bottom line; the Bayside Resort Hotel was the worst hotel experience of my life.

Looking forward to another Special getaway
By ,
We went for 2 nights Oct 2007 The staff was great, Our room was very clean Our regret was we had 2 double beds - next time we will request a king (beds were comfortable) The pool and jacuzzi were clean & good size, loved the fact it was open until 11. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant they sent us for a free dinner - We had to order from a limited menu or pay to get something from regular menu. We were disappointed in the quality and taste of the prime rib and will not return to the Yarmouth House Restaurant. We look forward to returning to the Bayside.

A little noisy for us.
By ,
My wife and I went to the Cape to relax and enjoy ourselves. We did have an enjoyable time but the place was a little too active with kids young and old. The lettle ones were constantly slamming doors, running around the halls. I have no one to blame but the parents of course. Late in the evening bacame a little irritating with older kids being heard partying outside our room next to the beach area (up to 2 am). On the plus side, the accommodations were good, staff was pleasant, pool was nice.

Excellent

Staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean and have everything that you would ever need. The hotel is close to many restaurants and other things to do. Can't wait to plan our next trip!

Kids Galore!!
By ,
The rooms were very clean, the personnel very friendly and helpful. However there seemed to be an awful lot of kids around all weekend, who basically took over the pool from opening to closing and running up and down the hallways all hours. Walls are pretty thin, so it got kind of noisy at night and in the morning. Place is great for families, but would definitely not recommend for a getaway weekend for couples.

Bare Bones
By ,
First let me say that the front desk employees are more than helpful and very friendly. The price was extremely low compared to other lodging in the area. We realized that most likely that was because the hotel is very old, which you see once you are inside and the room was very plain (although quite large.) There was no iron, hair dryer or coffee maker. You could request one at the front desk by signing them out. There was a lot of noise that we could hear coming from all the rooms around us, so I believe the walls must be paperthin or not well insulated. We were awakened several times both nights.

FRIENDLY
By ,
May 2005 was our first visit. We found the staff friendly and eager to assist. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Their location puts you close to everything you might want. The only MINOR drawback is that the view of Lewis Bay almost requires binoculars. Did I mention the great continental breakfast and exercise room? We're going back in 2006 for my 65th birthday.
