Lives up to it's name
Hotel is just a couple of miles off the turnpike. There's nothing within walking distance of the hotel, though. Take that couple of miles back to the turnpike to get on the main drag. From there, the outlet mall is down the street as well as several places to eat, get gas, etc.
Lee, MA is not a booming metropolis. I went there for work, not shopping, so I didn't really care that the nearest Wal-Mart was in Pittsfield. There's a Dunkin Donuts just down the main drag (just like every town in MA). Some great places to eat that we found were Arizona Pizza (in Lee) and Dakota Steakhouse (in Pittsfield).
The hotel itself offers the basic amenities. You get a good sized mini-refrigerator, microwave, cable TV, telephone, etc. Their high-speed internet is 802.11G. Right now they only have one access point and will be expanding it soon. They will book your room according to vicinity of the access point if you request it.
Cellphone coverage in Lee is marginal. At the hotel, you have to stand outside your room to get a signal (T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint). Even in the town, it's kinda sketchy. We were working at the State Police station, where I had only one bar on my T-Mobile phone.
The hotel staff was very nice and receptive to our needs. After we found where the ice machine was, it didn't work. The owner had it fixed for us within minutes (it was turned off).
Don't expect room service or a continental breakfast. If you're looking for a basic hotel that won't rip you off, this is the place to stay.
