Just stay here.Its great wee place to hang your hat. I havestayed at the Fairfield Motor Inn about 15 times now from Scotland.Ok. So it's a wee bit out from New York City. But it saves me paying New York prices and if you want to go to NYC then there are trains every hour and late ones back too.Great diner next door where Ialways get super service and the beach is about ten minutes walk away.There is also a huge Stop and Shop supermarket across Kings Highway a few minutes away.The staff are always friendly andthedesk is manned( or womanned) 24 hours.Theroomsare clean and serviced every day and there is a continental breakfast in the morning which is included in the room price.Who says the Americans don't do B and B!!! Es ist ein wirklich schönes Inn! Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr herzlich und haben immer ein nettes Wort und sind Hilfsbereit! Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Ein kleiner Pool über den sich Kinder sowie Erwachsene freuen! Das Inn ist nahe am Strand und zum Einkaufen ist es auch nicht weit. Wir fanden es perfekt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen!!!

Very nice, not TOO fancy. The employees are very helpful. Location is perfect for our needs. Recently renovated. Well lit parking lot. Food at the diner next door is remarkably good. Shopping strip mall almost next door (for the items forgotten while packing). If for some reason you no not like the breakfast offered... there is a Dunkin Donuts a couple doors down. Beautiful old-fashioned plants all around. Iris, colombine, lillies, forget-me-nots... So far they have managed to put us in the same room for our visits to Conn. The last time we arrived (after a 7 hour drive) I told my husband "Thank God we're home". Oh... great internet connection & they get FOX NEWS.

I arrived late in the evening at this motel- and only stayed here because it was the only place I could find off of the interstate. The funkiness of this place could be overlooked- if people had been more friendly I would have almost thought it was cute. But, after we checked in, it just got worse. First, we were charged almost double what they quoted over the phone 10 minutes before. Second, I was awoken before 8AM by roofers DIRECTLY OVER MY ROOM. It was horrible, they were hammering and throwing shingles all around my car. When I complained, I was told tough luck. I could have at least been warned. This was a terrible experience for a tired traveller.

However, they need to invest in pillows. We stay at this hotel yearly and it is a great place---all except for the pillows. There is no substance to them--they are like cotton candy. John M Cox Houston, TX

i loved the fact that everyone was polite and said Hello and Goodbye and opened the door for you when you are leaving it was very nice

We are from Texas and come to CT once a year to visit inlaws. We always stay at the Fairfield Inn in Fairfield. The hotel is very nice and quiet and the area surrounding the hotel is wonderful. Service is great too! Can't wait for my yearly trip to Connecticut and visit to the Fairfield Inn.
