Howard Johnson Inn Hershey, Hershey

The rooms were recently updated and very clean. The mattresses were comfortable. The carpet, bedding, bathroom countertops, bathroom tiles and flat screen TV were all new. We liked the adjoining rooms so that the kids in both rooms that we had. We stayed in the back by the pool and our rooms were quiet so we all had a restful sleep. The breakfast was just adequate but the kids enjoyed the cereals and donuts. The pool wasn't very child-friendly and went from 3 feet suddently to 7 feet. We ended up having to rescue one of our kids who wasn't a strong swimmer. Overall, I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone traveling to Hershey.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was dirty. The shower did not drain. The pool was in poor condition. The management lied to us about how he was going to take care of our complaints. There are plenty of better options in the area.

the best thing about this motel is that it is right across the street from an amazing salon and day spa. I had great service at leofrittelli salon and day spa and the food at the what if.. is great!

The Motel was on the expensive side for what it offered. We just stayed there on Aug. 14th & 15TH, 2006. The staff WAS VERY UNFRIENDLY. The Continental Breakfast was a joke. Stale donuts and the hostess was very unfriendly. I would not recommend staying there.

We stayed there in late July 06 They told me they were the "closest motel to Hershey Park" what they didnt say was that they are close to the back of the park (no entrance) the smoke detector was missing (hanging wires) AC would not cool so they came in with duct tape to seal the hole around the AC the price was no bargain they advertise one price then almost double that.

I was there by myself for a christian conference in 2005. I really only slept there 2 nights and I was comfortable. I can relate to a musty smell, but, it was a rainy April weekend in the northeast, and I thought that was the cause.It wasnt all that bad, but a bit noticable.. The room was clean and the staff helpful. I thought the restaurant had great food, enough so that I would definetely go there to eat if I was in the area, even if I wasnt staying over!! The same conference is here this year in June so hotel rates in other places are way high from my research so I am very much considering returning to this motel again. I have not compared the rates yet, but, if there lower than the marriotts etc., im there!!!

We stayed here for three days. There were bug carcasses all along the patio and some in our room also. While the beds were comfortable, I was kind of afraid to close my eyes!!! Continental breakfast.... yeah ok. If you like your coffee black and your breakfast non-existent.

This place is a real dump. Small, not very nice, close to the road, not comfortable. We made the mistake of coming here for a our convention, never ever again.

We will never again stay at Spinners Inn. I wish I had read the reviews on tripadvisor.com before I made our reservations. The room smelled moldy as stated by several people on tripadvisor. But the most important reason we will not go back is this: We returned to our room and our 19 year old son opened the door and went in, I was holding the key in my hand. We naturally assumed that we had not closed the door properly when we left earlier. But we tested it and when the door is closed properly our son (normal size for a 19 year old) could push on the door knob and walk right in. Thank goodness there was a dead bolt to use.

close to the park and clean also was very easy to find also the resturant was close and good and the pool was heated with was good to use at night since the nights get a little chilly and would recommand this to friends and family
