Seaview Inn, Middletown

Plugs do not stay in outlets, musty, dirty rug, air conditioner not up to par, 1/4 inch thick pillows, no internet connection outside the lobby area. They haven't updated in years.

Stayed one night at this hotel. The room was okay no refrig. in our room. second floor with a small sun room over looking the water that was nice. The location was not very good if you wanted to walk instead of driving everywhere. not much to do in middletown unless you want to do the beach everyday. If you are a tall person the shower will not be for you. A little high priced for what the room is. Breakfast was okay, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, not bad. Next time would stay in downtown newport where there is a lot more going on.

Our family was in town for a wedding at St. Georges Academy and this was the perfect hotel for us. Location was great for travel in the area. Weekdays were the best to avoid crowds and higher rates. Breakfast nook had more than enough to start your day right. Loved the refrigerator in the room and our service was more than expected. Hotel has a rustic feel and I recommend the second floor if you don't mind stair climbing. View from our room was nice for us. Deer were playing in the large grass yard and the lawn chairs were appreciated for our late afternoon cocktail/nap in the sun and breeze. Would love to visit again!
