Stone Gable Inn Hampton, Hampton

I booked two rooms at this hotel, however I ended up not needing but one room. I was told if they were able to book the other room they would not charge me for both rooms. Just after midnight I went to the office to ask for the keys to the second room because my air conditioner was not blowing cold air at all. At this point I was told the other room had been rented to another party. These crooks rented the same room to two customers and refuse to even speak to me about it. I have been hung up on several times and have left my number for the owner Muhamad to call me back. This is the same owner of the Pine Haven Inn. Now about the room itself. My room smelled like vomit. By the TV.. by the table.. etc. The only area that did not smell like vomit was the corner which did not get any circulation from the 1980's model window AC unit. The beds were comfortable enough however I was skeptical about how often the linens were actually cleaned. The place is a dump but one of the cheapest options near the beach which is what sucked me in... do yourself a favor and make a day of the beach and drive a ways for a more affordable and professional hotel if money is an issue. Next time I want to spend 2 days in Hampton I will just drive back to my home in MA and return the next day. You'd have a cleaner experience camping with no tent.

Everything checked out alright at first, but.... they (staff) tried to come in the room a couple of times in the early morning. Instead of knocking they have an extra key. Make sure you get the spare and if they do try come in call them on it. They will give some lame excuse. Here's the biggie. Their price for their smallest room, which what I had, was advertised on their sign/marquee for $69. They tried selling it for $79. Took a look at the room (217) it was adequate. I told him i would take it for the advertised $69. He (Paul) said yes. A week later I check my account They took out $87. Even after I had both receipts showing $76. They are currently being investigated by VISA. Wouldn't have been bad if they weren't so dishonest. I kinda liked they're laid back disposition and friendliness. But the last impression is the one that lasts the longest. Was going to stay there in October for a week an maybe another weekend before the middle of September of this year/Summer. Not happening now.

The price was great. The location was good. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and quiet. A lot of great places to eat around there.

The hotel stay was great we slept in a clean room and the price was affordable I really liked what I paid for. The front desk has you not waiting which was great for us since we wanted to sleep after a heavy flight. Thank you Stone Gable inn.

The place was horrible i brought my son there then next day there bugs in are beds and now we both have bumps all over our body It is disguisting

Reserved a non smoking room, called to confirm, got there at 7pm and was told the owner gave us a smoking room. Had to leave for a while so a non smoking room could be cleaned. Ha. We found a dirty sock in the bathroom, food in the microwave, food on the floor, body hairs all over the bathroom floor, a filthy shower, an actual hole in the floor...need I go on? Absolutely disgusting. No bargain either. I'm sure the Board of Health would be interested in this place.

We stayed here recently & was very disappointed..... the room was dirty, dirt on the bathroom floor along with dead bugs, mold in the tub (too gross to even use it) had to wipe out the fridge before we wanted to use it and the carpet is disgusting & torn. The staff wasn't very nice or helpful, either. We would have left, but when we checked, there was nothing else available.Not a good value for $69.00 a nite.The pictures online are deceiving!! We wonder when the last time this motel was inspected? Woul not recommend staying here.

The room was nothing fancy, but the linens were clean. I don't know about the carpets or spreads. My main complaint was the cigarette odor. It made me sick and I carried the smell on my clothing after I left. The next day I saw the cleaning woman smoking. She must put her butts out on the beds

I have stayed at this place several times since sep. 2007 Ihave been treated with utmost respect and friendly service and they are the best deal in town. There realy wasn't anything I didn't like about my stay,it was very relaxing. dont expect this to be a 5 star motel but it is clean and quiet.

This hotel is very dirty. Bathroom was filthy! I'm not even sure if our towels were clean. I do not recomment this hotel to anyone!
