Poor business practices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/10
I am sorry to say, that York Harbor Inn mangement does not handle complaints well nor do they respond in a timely fashion. We were over-charged by the Inn and were told the matter would be handled by the Inn book-keepr. After two weeks and no response, I had to involve my credit card company in order to receive my credit. I have heard it is a lovely Inn, but there are many other Inns (Stage Neck Inn for example) and certainly Ogunquit that would provide just as nice if not better service.

Would love to stay again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/06
The atmosphere was beautiful. Location was excellent. Staff immediately offered us an up-grade @ no additional charge. The continental breakfast was great, and the open area with fireplace was beautiful! The pub, had great food with killer specials each night example 1/2 off appetizers. The price was awesome for this type of accommodations. A++++ Something to appeal to all ages. Hot tub on premises.

A Honeymoon to remember...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/06
This place exceeded all expectations of what I imagined when I sat at home surfing the web for a place to stay on my honeymoon. The location is breathtaking. There is an easy walk to the beach which is so beautiful and peaceful for morning and moonlight walks. The location for day trips is very convenient for points from Salem, MA to Portland, ME. The Inn itself is quaint but with the modern conveniences you need. The staff is friendly and helpful, even the chef took time to stop and chat with us in the lobby. The food is out of this world in both the restaurant and the Ship's Pub. You have to try the Indian Pudding, you will be in Heaven! Not only did we stay there for our honeymoon, but we went back for our 5 year anniversary and stayed in the same wonderful room. I couldn't imagine the Inn being any better than it was the first time, but it just seems to bring sweeter memories each time. (Maybe it is just the company I am with.) Make sure you run up to Wells to Mike's Clam Shack for the lobster stew, you won't be disappointed!

disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/06
We stayed at the York Harbor Inn for two nights to celebrate my husbands birthday. The room was clean but small. Our bed squicked the next morning we told the person at the front desk and they were going to have someone take care of the problem. The next night it was the same thing. When we checked out they didnt seem to concered about our sleepless nights. Needless to say we didnt enjoy our stay.

Best Thanksgiving Buffet ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/05
If you've never had the Thanksgiving buffet here you must try it. It was excellent. They had the best Seafood Newburg with tons of seafood in it, excellent prime rib and the side dishes were also flawless. Top it off with one of their superb desserts and you have a class A meal.
