Fall in love

My husband and I couldn't get reservations at any of the inns I tried on-line for our honeymoon in Oct 2002, but driving thru York we just happened upon this beautiful place. It was late afternoon in a driving rainstorm and they just happened to have a vacancy. Well, vacancy doesnt do it justice. It happened to be their suite! We had a beautiful colonial room with all the amenities including a private bathroom AND our very own HOT TUB overlooking the harbor!! When we told the proprietor we were on our honeymoon, she said she was instructed by the owner to offer a complimentary bottle of champaign should there be any honeymooners. We were thrilled! I took plenty of pictures to show everyone back home. We were so taken with the place that we intended to go back on our 1st anniversary, but as fate would have it, my husband was then recovering from brain surgery for a stroke he suffered. He is fine now and we were very lucky. We then thought perhaps we would go back for our second anniversary, but agian fate had other plans. We headed to Oregon to visit his daughter and son-in-law who had just had twin boys in Sept. Needles to say, I am still hopeful we will get back ther next fall for our 3rd anniversary. I have told my husband that if it were possible, I would BUY the inn to live in..sorry folks, I wouldnt be using it as a B&B..I'd use it as the big family house we need to have all our children and grandchildren come to visit. This was the most romantic place I have ever stayed..
