Beautiful views!
By TomG, 10/22/05
We were allowed to see the room before staying, the host/owner was excellent in making our stay enjoyable. My wife loved the atmosphere and I enjoyed the quiet accommodations. Dinner and breakfast was fantastic. The money spent was well worth the stay. The only drawback, we did not have a TV in our room. This was perfectly fine with my wife and she enjoyed reading one of the history books of the area left in the room. Well done to the owners.

Buildings need help
By N, 9/28/05
The worst thing I dislike about the Country Club Inn was you were not able to lock (let alone shut) the exterior door to your room completely closed. The exterior of the rooms needs alot of painting. Everything was peeling. The inside was nice but very musty smelling. The main building was nice as well. Overall, it needs to be updated a bit.

Absolutely delightful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/09
I was traveling with my mother and my aunt, and we requested 3 beds - we thought we would be in a room with a cot -- but Margie (the owner) upgraded us to two adjoining rooms with a gorgeous end view of the lake and mountains, at no extra cost - the inn was not full the nights we were there, and it was so nice to have the extra space - she is the absolutely the most pleasant person and the friendliest innkeeper! We felt right at home. II enjoyed watching TV in the living room/lobby and browsing through the many books on the Rangeley Area. There were movies and games to borrow and a lovely fire in the fireplace. Unfortunately the restaurant was not yet open for dinner for the season - we heard so many great reviews about their dinner -- but breakfast was fantastic - Margie called around to other establishments to see who was open for dinner in early June. We chose Parkside and Main and loved it so much,we ate there both nights of our visit. We would definitely return to the Country Club Inn - a little bit of history, a gorgeous view, very comfortable and clean rooms, close to the village. Since it was a bit chilly, we did not get to enjoy the outdoor pool, but it looked fantastic. Nothing fancy, but if you are looking for a place to relax, this is it. We felt we left having made a friend, not just a tab!!
