Iluka Beach Resort Hotel, City of Gold Coast

Our family of 5 stayed for a week at this Hotel. The staff are accommodating and friendly. We found the rooms comfortable but in minor need of attention. The restaurant is excellent value for money and our family enjoyed the pool. It's location is ideal with gr8 views. We look forward to staying here again soon. Would rather stay here than in an expensive trendier hotel with no views - way back from the beach and surrounded by bigger Hotels ;0)

close to everything and quiet.very pleasent staff and very helpful front desk staff.Food was great value in the restaurant.The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable too.

The location of the hotel is probably one of the best locations in Surfers Paradise , I have stayed at the Iluka 3 times, I found the staff to be friendly, location is great and in minutes of reach for shops, beach and clubs. Each time I went back I did hope that the cleaning has improved but unfortunatley not. I think with daily maintnance, cleaning and that little bit extra (like providing towels and toilet paper on daily basis and perhaps installing air conditioners) I think this will certainly make it at least a 4 star hotel in my books. If all these items that I have listed are achived , I would not look for any other hotel next time I visit surfers paradise. 'even if it mean I have to pay extra' In my books you have to spend money to make money and you get what you pay for. 70% satisfied customer.

the location and food were great and the staff were friendly,but the rooms were dirty and old fashioned the doors and windows didnt lock the sofa bed was broken there was no airconditioning also said breakfast opened at 8 so we went down at 5 past 8 to eat as we were in a hurry and had to leave by 8.45 and the resturant didnt open until 8.25am

We absolutely love the place we have been three times so far and our planning our first anniversary there this year in August. We stayed at Christmas last year and took the kids, how silly were we, thinking they might just enjoy the pool and the view, but they moaned and wanted money spent on them at every chance. We realised that next time it would be just the two of us, we love sitting on the balcony with some cheese and a few drinks. What more could you ask for, the meals at Billy Baxters are terrific and we have the steak everytime the drinks are reasonable and its only a stagger to the lift if we have too much. And even in winter the pool is tempting. Cant wait till next time. And the service is terrific.Thankyou

My boyfriend and I (we are in our twenties) have stayed at Illuka three times now and we are on our way back this year, a couple of times we have arrived too early for check in and counter staff have been so cheery and helpful. They answered any questions we had and we are so comfortable with the place that it is quite hard for us to move on to another holiday destination, We enjoyed the balcony, the view, the service, the set up of the place, even the cleaning ladies gave us some toilet paper when we had ran out!! every one that stayed there were friendly and it was within walking distance from everything, I have many great memories and will continue to come back time and time again. I found it a great place to stay for a weekend.I think as i have read over the other reviews its actually the young ones that ruins a hotel's reputation.As its coming from a 24yr old.Great place would go back anytime.Best thing about it is the bottle shop below and the surf right across from the road

Have stayed at Iluka 3 times now and each time I could not fault it. The staff are always wiling to assist. It is within walking distance of everything in Surfers Paradise. Great views over the beach, a great spa, a pool and a restuarant with big cheap meals. What more could ya want. Coming back again in 2007

It was central, child friendly, absolutely close to the centre and the beach. Having the pool access was good. Balcony looking over beach was nice. Who needs air conditionning when there is a sea breeze to enjoy? Kids loved the none stop TV film channels when it was time to "take a break". Restaurant on the ground provided good quick options for kids. Quantity and quality was very good value. Thanks to the Iluka we had a really nice stay - cheap and chearful ment that we could do other tyhings as well.

I stayed at this hotel as a young person (21) my friends and I were treated like animals by the staff at the hotel, they did not respect us at all, we did not run a muck and we'rent distroying the room or being loud, but were kicked out for having friends over for birthday (mine) drinks before going clubbing, this is outrageous they would not have done this to older people and my birthday was ruined as we hd travelled a fair distance to stay there...
