Patong Merlin Hotel, Phuket

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. You couldn't ask for anything better. The staff are incredibly friendly and also happy to help, nothing is ever too much trouble for them! The hotel has very talented cooking staff and offers an outstanding selection with equal quality and attention to detail. The Patong Merlin provides a highly entaining and friendly band that performs in the lobby bar nightly. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is situated in an excellent location. terrific value for money!!

The Patong Merlin was a great family hotel. October 2005 was my families second time to Phuket an stay at the Patong Merlin. The same families keep going back, we must've seen atleast 5 same families in 2005 that were there in 2004. The staff are so friendly an warm, some of them even remebered me from the previous year. I strongly advise anybody to stay at the Patong Merlin. It has 3 great swimming pools, great night life with a band, very good breakfast buffets, trust me there the best anything you could think of an the service an people are just so friendly. Please stay at the patong merlin it is worth it

Very friendly staff. Breakfasts amazing.Shops, numerous restaurants , beach, seconds away.Beautiful grounds and 3 fabulous pools - a real oasis. The New Year Gala was superbly organised.Much preparation beforehand and no queues for food - so well laid out. Fabulous food demonstrations. Would recommend!! We had doubts beforehand, having bad experience of New Year in another country. A/C Ocean Plaza store next to hotel. Fabulous leather sandals -loads to choose from 199Bhat, and excellent selection of clothes. Taking an empty case next time!! The hotel is so well situated we didn't need a tuk tuk once!!

In August 2005 we spent two weeks at this hotel which is just across the road from the beach. It is very well located. (Right near an ATM and money exchange too, very handy.) I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The Manager and staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there. I had a pizza one night and it was scrumptious. Our room had a balcony looking across to the beach and a view down the main road. They have done a marvellous job of making the hotel look like new after the tsunami damage. The king size beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean, with a marble bathroom. The carpet, lounge and curtains while in very good condition could perhaps do with an upgrade in the future. We were very impressed with the way they helped us when we needed medical service. We were very glad that we had chosen this hotel for our holiday. We'll be back again!!

the hotel is open and friendly. It is right by the beach and very conveniently located as far as shopping is concerned. The eating facilities are excellent and very clean-the service has always been great. The grounds between the hotel and the beach front road are landscaped with beautiful plants bordering the hotel's pools
