I like the place the cause its just beside the sea,eversince my husband came to visit we always stay in this hotel. They have the most wonderful staff working there and everyone is really accommodating and friendly plus of course its affordable. Cant wait to visit Lantaka again very eager to see the changes they have which i often hear from my brother-in-law who is working there too.To the management and staff Ariba Zamboangenos! Hope to see everyone soon......

I like thier service..friendly faces, this is the important beauty in the place and this is one of the first things I look for in a place to stay.that's why I'd like Lantaka Hotel.,Cleanliness? Even though the are in the beach, never smelled dried sea weeds.Value? its ok..though before it was cheaper than now..but still not bad. Location? ohhh!!! i like the loc.I'm 101% safe,walking distance to my family and friends in port pilar. geezz!! walking down to the heart of zamboanga city., I just love it.I supposed to be in Lantaka Hotel last month, but I didnt made it. I was having a surgery in Manila. not Im back to Kuwait. but that's Okey, though Im dying to go back there,I'll wait on my next vacation..there's only one thing that I don't really enjoye being in that place, I dont have a PARTNER!! hihihi.jk. The Lantaka Hotel is situated near Fort Pilar at the edge of Zamboanga City. The place is kinda old but the view at the back, facing the pier is nice. You can actually see Sta. Cruz Island and its "pink" shore from the patio of this hotel. One thing that i really liked about this hotel are the vendors at the back of the patio selling... PEARLS! really, they have different kinds and the prices vary. I bought this really nice South Sea pearl set, it's a cluster of baby pink with a big white pearl as a pendant in the middle. Just got it or a cheap price. they even sell some shells for display which are really big. The Hotel is also known for its buffet, seafood buffet that is. Shrimps and curachas in alavar sauce are just some of the specialties. So if you're looking fo a place to buy pearls and get stuffed at the same time, juct ceck out this place.

I've been there twice when I came to see a friend. People were courteous and very friendly. My family friend usually invited me to have lunch there in the restaurant and I love the foods that were served. I am looking forward to come back and maybe stay again in your place because of the over looking ocean. But I just have one question is it safe to visit Zamboanga---- these days of all the terrorist, kidnapping a US citizen like me. I heard and saw what happened to the couple missionaries who were kidnapped and even filipino were be headed. So I'm kind of having a second thought to come and visit the city. I was home in May 2005 but I did not actually went to Zamboanga for the same reason. PS: Do you have a "work out area" where machines can be provided. It's good to have that kind of atmosphere around in the hotel. Thank you, A Filipino by heart

Lantaka was nice. It was located in the perfect place and was fairly modern. The worker were nice, food was excellent, and prices were fair. I had some problem getting my credit cards to work correctly, but in the end it worked out.....over all it was one of the best experiances of my traveles.

..Zamboanga, my home town.. :-)..THE BEST MEMORIES I have.. so rich and beautiful place..so much to see, Islands to go to.. friendly people..fresh seafoods, cheap fruits..what can you ask for?...never seen a place with so many mango trees! almost in every house..:-) ... one can find the rarest fish and shellfood, that is REALLY delicious!..If you're the type of person who likes History..try visiting Zamboanga..you will be amazed..:-)
