How could you stay anywhere else except the Taj
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/08
I had to travel for 2 weeks on business to Bangalore. I was working at night and sleeping during the day. The curtains in the room blocked out all sunlight and made sleeping during the day extremely easy. The on site restaurant cooked breakfast at 1:00 in the afternoon. They treated me like a princess. Everything I ever needed was always made available. My butler made me feel like I was at home. He catered to all of my needs. From candles to flowers to bath salts to slippers. They always knew my name and everyone would stop and say hello whenever we walked by. When I left I felt like I was leaving members of my family. The only condition I set on my next visit to Bangalore is that I would not travel unless I could stay at the Taj again, I consider it my home away from home.

I enjoyed my time there
By Robert, 06/24/08
The service from the staff was incredible. We were provided with a butler as well as impeccable staff looking after the rooms. The North American hospitality services should go to the Taj just to learn what service is all about. I had a standard room which was more like a palace than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. The grounds are kept in remarkably good condition and the hotel itself is worth visiting just to have a look. Awesome just awesome. Thanks for a great travel experience

An oasis in the madness
By Nick, 09/26/07
TWE is a great hotel - really friendly staff, great food and super rooms. Nice to be able to walk around the grounds at night-time too in total safety. Restaurants, especially the Blue Ginger, are really good quality - but can be a little pricey for large groups - BEWARE ! If I could afford it I would move in for good !

A Taste of Paradise!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/07
What can I say about a place that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive?! The care and thoughtfulness of the personnel was amazing. The professionalism of all the hotel people made our stay so memorable. The gardens!!! Wow Amazing almost a dream! and a wonderful sense of security of being able to walk around knowing and seeing that there were courteous people taking care of business at every corner and this at any time NIGHT or day. The hotel food... NO CONTEST.. great buffet and service..the Blue Ginger?... built into paradise, a taste of paradise... there are no words. The rooms are all you can expect and wish for. My only comment is that its pricey, BUT within Bangalore 5 star standards. We loved the Taj so much we went back for a second time! Truly Enjoyed. Thanks for the memories Taj...

I stayed at the Taj for 3 weeks and never lifted a finger! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Gardens are luxurious and I would love to go back. Well worth the money. I have never stayed in such a fabulous place.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/06
I have to say I was not prepared for purity of the place. Its so unique .. the buggys, glorious nature is all quite captivating. The cuisine at Blue Ginger was excellent , its (impressive in surrounding) the first of its kind I hear in india) The staff are very helpful and all in all a must visit place.

The only place I've found peace
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/06
The Taj West End is my personal paradise; the colours, flowers, scents, friendliness and views rival any other seen by human eyes. I joke not, this place, although situated in one of the poorest countries, is a jewel. The staff could not have been any more helpful, you barely had to do anything yourself! I urge you, save up, sell your children/parents, go to India. I have not seen before or after anywhere that captures my heart so much as Bangalore. I travelled there alone from Newcastle upon Tyne and took me over 24 hours (in the air, not including airports!) to get there, I was only there for two weeks and cried all the way home. The only stress I had was Mumbia Airport, where a soldier bossed me into the wrong end of the airport. There all sorts of fun delveloped, including such questions as 'why is your husband in your hand luggage?' -I'm not married but that made things more confusing. And being sent through Customs, and then Immigration only to be told (loudly) that I was in the wrong place and I would have to go back to the UK! It didnt come to that however, due to a trusty phrase book and some Geordie charm I was ushered into the Business class lounge to be pampered. Bliss!! Truly India itself has to be seen to be believed, such beauty and colour and smells, and the sunsets are out of this world. If I seem to be waffling on, come to mine and look at the photos and the DVDs, and you'll see I'm right!
