Lovely and clean, delicious breakfast in restaurant, politeand helpful staff, great location, beautiful outlook, lovely building/decorating. Only drawback was the excessively noisey air conditioning unit in our room! Definately could not leave it running when sleeping!

Edward Hotel - Durban

Hello, I am writing this review, in order to give my 2 cents worth of the value and professionalism this hotel is to offer.

As a South African Citizen, and being away from home most of times on business trips, this specific hotel just charmed... I was impressed by the cleanliness of the foyer, together with friendly and polite atmosphere created by the staff members. The hotel is luxurious, and rooms are spacious.

The location is fantastic, on Durbans northern main beach front. Its close to the new Suncoast Casino and Entertainment world, as well as various other night clubs and entertainment spots. The beaches are kept clean and are safe at all times. The Durban Metro Police is always visible and ready to react to any emergency.

There is fantastic night life all over Durban. The hotel boasts satelite TV, which includes the SABC channels as well.

Other well known spots, to also attend is the Botanical Gardens, Thirsties Restaurant & Pub on Point, as well as the Gateway Mall. Its apparently the largest shopping mall in the southern hemisphere.

I trust you will be delighted in visiting the Edward, and enjoy Durban - South Africa's Playground!
