Worst Run Hotel I Have Ever Stayed At
By ,
If I told you all the things that went wrong, some small and a few quite consequential, at this Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel during our recent stay there, you might think I was mad. I can suggest to you no better way to make your stay in Jerusalem unpleasant than staying at this place. Of the perhaps 250 hotels I have stayed in I have never seen one run even remotely as poorly as the Dan Panorama Hotel. On top of their basic incompetence, these people cannot be trusted.

Great central location
By ,
Israeli hotels are expensive in high season, and this was no exception. Yet the location was great, the rooms comfortable and the service, well, it was Israeli. If you've ever been there you'd know what I mean. The breakfast was very good, but not as good as it's sister hotel in Tel Aviv.

was not impressed
By ,
We just returned from a four night stay at the Dan Panorama. We found our room very tired and in need of a good cleaning. Certainly not the quality of a four star hotel. We would not return to this hotel.

will not return
By ,
First they put us in a tiny room which smelled of paint all night, because they were painting the hallway. When we arrived I complained since I have breathing problems, but they would not change the room. We complained in the morning they did change our room to a family room which was bigger but not very inviting. Loved the pool, too bad they close it so early. The breakfasts, like the Dan hotel in tel aviv were rather poor. Next time we will stay at the King David or the Inbal.

OK to stay either on business or tourist trip
By ,
Rooms are comfortable, clean, with air conditioning, TV, radio and a small regregirator. WiFi in rooms and in the lobby for $15/night, though it's possible to buy only one night or a week, smth like that. I stayed there for 10 night and for some reason the receptionsts told me to pay for a week and then for 3 times for a night. Strange idea, but may be we just didn't understand each other. WiFi tech staff is very fast in replies, energetic and helpful, will never leave youn in trouble if there is any possibility to help. Knowing that phone calls from the hotel are rather expensive they themselves suggested to call me back and did it every time I contact them. And they even phoned to check that everything is OK the next day :) And provided me with the WiFi gadget when my built-in notebook WiFi had problems. Breakfasts are dairy with all typical Israeli food like vegetables, salads, pastry and smoked or salted fish. Hard-bolied eggs, scrambled eggs, different types of cottage and two types of 0% fat cottage available). Cheese, sweet pastries, fruits, etc. My hunger usually stops on the "first course" - a large portion of testy and tender scrambled eggs :) As far as I know it's possible to reserve not only B&B, but a half board also. But I havn't tried it this time since all my HB experiences with Israeli hotels implied an awful overeating and the following indigestion - and total inability to continue with breakfast the next day, as a result :) Too many too tasty food in one place :) Meals at the hotel is a bit expensive in comparison with city restaurant rates, but nevertheless affordable. You can order breakfast and other meals to th room. Towels are changed, soaps, toilet paper and other expendables are supplemented at least once a day. Rooms could be (and are!) cleaned as many times as you press the respective button near the room door. Once they cleaned my room three times a day since first I suggested that room be cleaned in the evening when been asked about it in the morning, then in the afternoon I decided to press the button, then asked again to empty the dustbins and then smb came in the evening and cleaned the room for the third time that day! :) The hotel fittness facility is not something special, but have 3-4 training machines and 2-3 ellipsoids. One can find there some minmum to stay fit but nothing more. The only thing I'd complain for is that hotel lacks balconies and nice views from the rooms. And for some reason windows were closed with a key, so I couldn't have truly fresh air in, only a conditioned one.

Great Location
By ,
The room was small but comfortable. I thought the breakfast was very good. But I didn't eat any other meals there. The staff was suprizingly friendly and helpful for Israel The location was outstanding! It was about a 15 min walk to the West Wall. It is very close to the Great Synagogue and many resturants. I would stay here again.

My 2nd Home
By ,
The staff and management all treated me extremly well, I have stayed there on three occasions and never have I been disappointed with the service, comfort, or the food. It's a short walk to the Old City from there and the view from the swimming pool on the 8th floor is great. That is my home when I'm in Jerusalem.

Great hotel in Jerusalem
By ,
This is a beautiful clean hotel in a good location. The food at the hotel is very good. The lounge area is very comfortable and the service was good. Good amenities for the children include a game room with free playstation and the rooftop swimming pool. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from three very good restaurants. The staff was courteous and helpful. We did not walk to the old city but the taxi ride took about 5 minutes.
