Hotel Du Lac, Interlaken

This hotel was just perfect. Ideally located to the train station for all activities. At the quieter end of Interlaken which meant that it was beautifully quiet in the evenings but only a short stroll from the bars and restaurants allowing enough time to walk off the evening meal before retiring to a very comfortable room. The hotel facilities were excellent and the dining facility was a wonderfully. pristine, clean and modern surprise (comfortable dining chairs in modern chocolate coloured leather, oak flooring, large double-glazed windows, giving an excellent view of the river) given the rather classically dated exterior. The staff were always friendly and very accommodating. Free Internet access was a great help for planning excursions. We will definitely visit again and stay here.

I have been here many, many times. Each room is appointed differently. Not like US Hotels where every room looks the same. It does not have a swimming pool, but you can swim in the river(try jumping of the bridge!) The food is marvelous and very fresh. The owners ( Ernst and Barbara) are genuine, friendly and courteous hosts. The staff is very helpful with planning a trip for you or answer any questions you may have. The hotel is small( 35 rooms) but the service is unsurpassed. You cannot go wrong

We loved our short stay at the Du Lac. Very friendly staff.....Wink Jenni. Our room was so quaint and cozy. The breakfast was excellent and scenic with the river right there. The hotel ambience made for a special honeymoon memory. Sorry for the broken bed legs...lol.

Hotel Du Lac and its personnel was the best. A cosy hotel , very friendly people, very good breakfast and restaurant specialities. Next to the train station for the main excursions to Jungfrau and next to the place where cruise ships leave from. Totally worth a visit and very good value to money rate. Will visit again for sure!
