Will never go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/09
They charged an additional $20.00 tomy credit card. When I called and asked why, they said it was because a pillow was missing. I bring my own pillow when I travel, and I certianly would not take a yukky motel pillow for any reason. I could not prove that I did not take it so I am stuck with the charge. I think it is a way to make additonal money

BEWARE
By AmyE, 03/31/09
I reserved this room before reading the reviews. I wish I had read first. It was awful. We checked in and Billy was very nice. We got to our room and that’s when the bad started. There was a white, crusty substance all over the headboard and the wall beside the bed. Then we proceeded to turn the bed down and the same substance was dried all over the blankets. We asked for another blanket and were given and equally dirty one with cigarette burns all over it. The ceiling tiles in the vanity/bath area were falling in, and around the toilet and in the tub were NASTY. The fridge looked like it had a leak at one point because the floor around it was disgusting. The fridge itself was clean. We watched the maids and they do not change any blankets or bedspreads AT ALL. Our room was not even cleaned at all one day and when we asked if we could get new towels and wash cloths we were told they would bring them to us. Well needless to say we never got them. We went to a nearby store to get a nightlight because I was afraid I would wake up to something crawling all over me and we were told by the clerk that the hotel was known for being dirty and she has heard SEVERAL complaints. The mattresses were the worst part. The springs poked my hips all night and they were stained beyond belief. Not just on the top, but all over the sides. I can not believe that we actually had to pay for this hotel. I will never stay in another day’s inn in my life. BEWARE and listen to the reviews. I am not just a paranoid consumer.

Not what I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/08
First of all the staff was very nice and helpful, other than that it was not a great palce to stay. We were not able to check in on time because of the fact we had reserved the only 2 bedroom suite they have. The room was very old feeling. The carpet and curtains were very worn. The bed linens, shower and bathroom room floor were stained. I would not recommend this hotel pay a little more money and stay in a nice up to date hotel.

This place ia a dump !! The worst !
By Debbie, 10/08/08
We paid over 60.00 @night ( off their website ) for our dirty, dumpy room. The bed wasn't too hard ,oh no - it was just falling apart ! This place is not"just not anything special"- , it just needs to be closed ,tore down & rebuild, maybe that will get rid of the bugs. Maybe add a whole new staff, one who can act like they LIKE their job, their lives or even the public in general. Hotels are a service industry - Days Inn Apple Valley don't know anything about that. Don't stay here, find a nice clean place where the staff has a clue that a clean room & a friendly answer go a long way for their job security. Check them out !! That was my mistake. I won't make that mistake again nor will we be staying here again. There are just too many very nice hotels in this area to stay here. We did find another one to finish our stay in the Smoky Mts. So after one BAD night we had a wonderful rest of the week, staying somewhere else .

Highly Recommended!!
By mommyofthree, 07/26/08
The whole staff was very friendly! The rooms were super clean. I stayed with my husband and 3 kids for a week and we were very satisfied. The pool was clean, the room was cleaned nicely everyday and the hotel itself is really close to every attraction we visited. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great for the Price
By michael, 04/29/08
The hotel was great for the price and they were very accomadating. We reserved online and when we arrived they had our room key ready at the front desk. Total check in time maybe 2 minutes max. On the flip side the bathroom was small and the light was very dim. the beds were also a little hard. But like me and my wife told each other for $34 night this was a great bargain. We would definatley stay again. Hope you enjoy!!!

Will stay here again!
By Lynn, 04/23/08
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this Days Inn. It was roomy and kept very clean. It is a great hotel for those on a budget who still want a nice place to stay. There was a coffemaker with both coffee and tea, dorm room size refridgerator, microwave, iron & board and a hairdryer. All were in working order. The heater wasn't as loud as most hotel heater/air conditioner units. The staff was extremely polite and curtious. The continental breakfast had a great variety which included waffles that you make yourself. The pool is rather small which may be a problem if the hotel is full. There seems to be ample parking. There is an elevator if you do not have a room on the first floor which was helpful. The rooms next to us were occupied, but we never heard a sound from them. There is a trolley stop near the hotel that will take you all over Sevierville's main tourist areas and to Pigeon Forge. There is one shop next door, other than that you will need to drive or take the trolley for shopping. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/08
We stayed for three nights during the Bristol Nascar weekend. The rooms were great nothing special thourhg just your normal hotel room but very clean. The hotel was packed becase of the race but stayed fairly quite the whole weekend. The breakfast was fantastic. And over all its a great price and in a great location in the middle of all the shoping.
