Our home away from home
By ,
We have only stayed twice now with Suzanne at the Baladerry, but it has become our home. We chose to stay both times in the Vines Room, and have already booked the same room for the 2009 Anniversary weekend. We have stayed at many B&B's in Gettysburg, but the Baladerry holds a very special place in our hearts. We can honestly say there is nothing that we found lacking or were disappointed with during our stays...except maybe we had to leave too soon! Suzanne whips up some amazing breakfasts; her hospitality is genuine, she is so thoughtful, and so very interesting to talk with; not only about the history of the inn, but the town, the area, the battles and of course the ghosts! She just makes you feel welcome from the moment you meet her, and she is the main reason we love the Baladerry so much and will continue to celebrate our anniversary with her each year. As much as we would love to be selfish and not share the Baladerry with anyone; We would highly recommend a stay. We promise you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Experience
By ,
There is nothing we disliked. everyone was so wonderful, from the staff to the guests. It felt just like another home. The breakfasts were three course meals that were so amazing. We have decided to return every year to celebrate our anniversary. We did not want to leave, it was one of the most peaceful weekends we ever spent.

We are already planning our next visit!
By ,
We enjoyed staying in the Shamrock Room. Three of us, enjoying a girls weekend "ghost hunting", could not have been happier with the pleasant, comfortable arrangements at this lovely inn. It is tops for cleanliness and friendliness. It has a country setting minutes from the heart of Gettysburg. We are looking forward to staying there again

Really enjoyed our stay!
By ,
It's restful and off the beaten track. The inn is clean, and the owner is pleasant. She goes out if her way for guests, and provides a nice area for coffee or tea 24/7. We'll go there again next time we're in the area.

Best Breakfast I ever had at a B&B!
By ,
The Baladerry Inn is a wonderful, quiet, romantic, place to stay while in Gettysburg. It is minutes from the center of town, located right next to the battlefield. The Inn keeper Suzanne is lovely and was most eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. If you like ghost stories she has plenty of them. I stayed in the Shamrock room, very clean, cozy, and spacious. Overall, the place was beautiful and the breakfast was AMAZING! 3 course sitdown gourment breakfast. Homemade cookies and a beverage center are stocked and available 24hrs. I will definetly be coming back to the Baladerry Inn in the future.

I keep going back
By ,
First, the atmosphere is wonder. Set at the site of a Civil War hospital, the Inn has a personal connection with the rich history of the Gettysburg area. Second, rooms are comfy, cozy, and clean. The inn is near all of the important sites in Gettysburg, while being off the beaten, tourist path. Third, the lovely Innkeeper, Suzanne, is absolutely wonderful: Kind, thoughtful, and helpful. Her breakfasts are delicious. She does an excellent jb of making you feel at home. I am going back for the 4th time in a few months. Great place for couples or a girl's wwekend away.... GO, you will not be sorry.

Great Spot
By ,
Good place to be located near the battlefield. You are right next to Little Round Top and the rest of the battlefield is within a 5 min drive. Nice rooms and cozy surroundings. Would stay there the next time we are in town.

a definite plus
By ,
this place is wonderful and the innkeeper, aka suzanne, is extremely pleasant and hospitable. she goes a little extra for her guests, by having a pantry stocked with soft drinks, water, tea and a pot to heat water. there is also coffee available and homemade cookies that are to die for. all the food is made from scratch by suzanne and her staff. breakfast consists of three courses served by friendly people. the rooms are clean, sheets and towels are changed and rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every morning. there is a comfortable place to watch tv and there are phones in each room. there is a wonderful patio where one can sit and watch nature. if we ever go to pennsylvania again, we will be sure to make this a stop. we highly recommend this b&b.

Good getaway
By ,
Our first weekend getaway, after the kid. I think I made a good choice to get some anniversary brownie points! Gettysburg nearby is great in the off-season. We enjoyed the stay. I am smitten by good breakfasts, and our kind hostess had 'em in good measure. The grounds are nice to take a small tram around. We had the Marigold room, with a warm fireplace. Even though that was an 'open house' weekend, we hardly felt the hordes tramping through. Useful ;)I recommend it, and we had three couples that weekend that were repeat vistors. Says something!
