Good Shepherd Inn, Branson

Dim lighting at sink, lack of towel racks, no clock in room. On the plus side, for the price we paid for 2 beds it was a great bargain in today's economy. Staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more in a last minute, drive-up stay.

My husband and I stayed one night at Good Shepherd Inn and it was the worst experience we've ever had at a hotel/motel. The room smelled awful and there were several flies buzzing around. Upon opening the bathroom door, I immediately had to stomp on a cockroach and we noticed a cigarrette butt floating in the toilet. I left my socks on the entire night and they were blackish on the bottoms just from walking on the carpet. The bathroom floor was sticky (I could hear my socks peel off of the floor when i walked on it). The beds were very uncomfortable, hard with sharp springs here and there, and all night we felt tiny stings/bites. It was so bad that even though we were exhausted, we barely got any sleep. We didn't even bother to shower there in the morning (the shower did not look clean), we just packed up and found a clean place to stay the rest of our trip. The clothes I wore in the room smelled terrible until I was able to wash them. The ONLY good thing about this whole experience was that the maintenance guy who was running the front desk was friendly and nice even though we had arrived after 2 AM and woken him up to get a room. We wanted to talk to the manager the next day but there was no one available except for the maintenance man, so we just dropped off our key and got out of that disgusting place. My husband and I are both military and have slept in some pretty ridiculous situations/environments, we really aren't that picky, but this was the most miserable sleeping arrangement either of us has ever experienced. If you stay at Good Shepherd Inn, you will regret it.

We have clean, remodeled rooms. New management took over in Nov. 2009. Come check us out. Great value for your dollar. And we pride ourselves on our service. Check out other sites for more reviews.

I lived there 1 year its nice place to stay... Rooms always clean... If you need anythink you always can ask manager or somebody who work there they always will help you. Manager working 24/7. I will recomend this motel to all my friends ... Its great price there too..

It looks like a cute little motel on the outside, but is nasty inside! One of the beds was rock hard, the other sunk down to the floor when you sat on it. Very outdated also, linoleum in bathroom was red/orange/tan from the 70's. But the worst part was the morning we were packing our stuff to leave, we look up & there is a ROACH crawling up the wall!!!! Went straight to the office to tell them & manager's response was "Oh no! Again?? I thought we had got rid of them. We'll have to get the exterminator out again." ....... I was shocked!! He didn't offer an apology, a refund, or anything! Disgusting place to stay!!!!

We arrived with another couple and rented two rooms. one room had broken beds roaches in the drawers and pictures on the wall. It was very dirty. The second room had a broken air conditioner. It was also dirty and some of the lights were not working. The bedding had also not been changed. I will never stay there again.

I stayed at the good Shepard INN! It was about 11:00 at night so I didnt want to look for a hotel. I have Read the reviews on here and they are true! We go a smoking room but it had no ashtray. There was a hole in the wall the size of a softball. The cable we had to hook up ourselfs. And we only go 5 channels. I will never go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had two rooms and one wasn't even clean when we arrived (and they still never offered to clean it). Motel staff was rude. Never got maid service. In our room the main light didn't work, phone didn't work, bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, and A/C didn't work. Food and toys from past guests under the bed. Bathtub dirty, and shower curtain covered in mold. Bed and pillows were uncomortable, and we could hear the couple in the room next to us engaging in activities. I could go on forever! Look elsewhere, there are so many other choices in Branson!

The room was clean and comfortable, but my expensive jacket came up missing during our stay. My sister had some of her make-up stolen. When we attempted to speak with the manager, she all but called us liars. The housekeepers were also rude. We had to beg for a roll of toilet paper. I would advise staying at any hotel in Branson, but not this one.
