Stewart Lodge, Cle Elum

I have an phobia of motel rooms in general and this one proved my fears true. We had called ahead to make reservations and were told it wasn't necessary. We were told it was pet friendly and wanted to make sure we could get a room, again we were reassured it wouldn't be a problem. We arrived and we were told they had one "dog" room left so we took it at the advertised price of $67.00 per night with a $10 pet fee. We wanted a room in the "newly remodeled" section and were told they didn't have "dog" rooms in that section. It was late and we took the room. The room smelled of dogs (acceptable) so we sprayed our lysol and opened up the windows. But the bathroom had smear marks (?) on the towel bar that I had to wash off before using, the bathtub drain didn't work and left you standing in dirty water. The headboards were visibly filthy. We had to literally wash them down before comfortably leaning on them. There were no curtains in the room only mini blinds which did have a small view into the room (we checked). The door was covered with dirty fingerprints along side the locks and door handle. In all the place was filthy. I always carry a quilt and sleeping bag in case the room is too much for me and I absolutely had to use them. When we commented to the clerk the next morning he said, "yeah, our maid isn't very good". On the positive side, the tv, microwave, coffeepot and fridge worked. The beds were not horrible to sleep on. In review the major problems with this room was cleanliness..there just wasn't any.

Fairly recently rennovated. Very nice rooms and extremely clean. Service is good too. Great value for the price. Showers in building are a bit loud but other than that, great stay!

Location is great for the area, rooms are so so, noisy and old, the FREE BREAKFAST they boasted about was FROZEN BISCUITS AND COLD GRAVY (no microwave in breakfast area). The staff made me feel uncomfortable, front desk receptionist needed a shave and bath. The FREE INTERNET WI-FI offered DID NOT WORK per the front desk the answer when I addressed this was and told them I needed this for work was "GOOD LUCK" it never works. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, OVERPRICED AND OVER STATED QUALITY. NEVER AGAIN!

this hotel was okay. we had to stay here because it was the only hotel in town with a room. we were given a smoking room. the hotel was nothing special at all. just a basic room.

Our family liked the clean and spacy rooms. We liked the location (it was easy to get to) and we liked the continental breakfast. Thanks You

Even though we had a wonderful STAY at the hotel, the staff at the lodge are very dishonest. We were travelling to Idaho and after we checked out we were told of some damamge that the mgmt thought we caused. We drove back to Cle Elum (4hrs) and proved that we did not cause the damamge and the mgmt still took $200 out of our account that they were not authorized to take! We will never stay at Stewart Lodge again and hope that other people watch their backs if they do! Not to mention, there was mold on the shower curtain and the microwave did not work. They charged double the price to have a cot put in our room.

THE SETTING WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE STAFF MADE OUR TIME THERE VERY ENJOYABLE

We have stayed here 4 times and really like the comfort of the rooms, the price, the friendliness of the staff, and the location. We would recommend it to anyone.

we loved all the improvements but best of all was mr.& mrs.tiltons kindness. we felt very welcomed and we promised to come back and tell someone about our great stay.

It states right here Pets Allowed. We had reservations and when we drove in I said we brought our dog. The man at the front desk said pets were not allowed. He did make us reservations at a lower quality place down the street next to the loud train. We were in a fix because all places were filled due to the State High School Solo/Ensemble festival in Ellensburg. So we stayed at a noisy place when my daughter needed sleep for her competition. It was terrible. The man at Stewart Lodge was very defensive and rude when I explained it states on the internet that they allow pets. Don't go there!!!!
