The historic Vee Bar Guest Ranch is nestled in the shadows of the Snowy Range Mountains of the Medicine Bow National Forest. The Little Laramie River winds its way through the Centennial Valley and across the ranch. This 1800s cattle and buffalo ranch once served as a stagecoach stop and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Only three hours from Denver, Colorado, but 100 years back in time - come live Wyoming history at the Vee Bar Guest Ranch! The Vee Bar is a family owned and operated guest ranch. The Cole Family is proud to share their unique and rewarding lifestyle with each and every guest. It is open year-round. During the summer the Vee Bar operates as a guest ranch, offering 6-night packages. During the fall, winter, and spring it is a luxurious bed and breakfast. During the bed and breakfast season the Vee Bar opens its restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights. The Vee Bar is also a great place to hold small retreats and conferences.Summer guest ranch packages include horseback riding, guided hiking, fishing, river tubing, trap shooting, three meals per day, evening entertainment, a hayride with our draft-horse team, cattlework, a camp out, and a lot of fun! The horseback riding program is exceptional and there is something for all abilities! You might wish to go on a walking ride and take in the scenery, or if you are more experienced or more adventurous you will like our faster loping rides. Guests also enjoy the hot tub, swing set, horseshoe pits, fishing pond, walking, dancing, relaxing at their cabin, and festivities in the John Wayne Saloon. Do as much or as little as you want! Our cozy, comfortable cabins have decks and chairs just right for relaxing with a good book, daydreaming or visiting with new friends. Deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrels wander the grounds among the cabins, and the peaceful sound of the Little Laramie River flowing just outside the cabins is the perfect nighttime lullaby.

Simply The Best!
By janie, 01/08/08
I was fortunate to stay in the Winter. It was so wonderfully quiet and tranquil. Breakfast served in the morning in the Lodge with a beautiful wood fire burning and fresh hot coffee waiting for me at 8:00 A.M. The Riverside Cabin was awesome with the Little Laramie River right outside the door to listen to. The river was somewhat frozen, but not entirely and what a stunning sight. Lots of pictures were taken. I recommend no finer "romantic getaway" in the Winter.

Excellent family visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/06
We recently visited the Vee Bar Ranch with our grown children and had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this ranch to anyone looking to 'get away' for a few days. Very well done cabins, good food, horseback riding and activities. You can either join in or spend your time reading on your private cabin porch while listening to the river flow by. Don't hesistate to take this trip!

My favorite place for a weekend

The hospitality is next to none. The food is excellent and the accommodations are so wonderful. After several return visits, they call us by name and wecome us with open arms.

Getting away from it all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/05
Spent a week there and enjoyed it greatly. They were friendly, kind, accomidating, and able to assist with all type of things. Enjoyable Saloon, walking trails, beautiful sunsets, and sun rises. Great place to go and get away from it all!!! Enjoy
