Reed's Motor Lodge, Springerville

Our trip to Springerville was short and we wished we could have stayed longer. Room was large and clean with WiFi capability. Decor was eclectic but what you might find in a ranch style home. Had bright sunshine in the a.m. Enjoyed the lobby gift shop and the cozy fireplace to sit when talking with staff about the area. Staff knowledgable about things to see and do along with recommendations for restaurants. We definitely would return.

I am a business traveler and travel all over the state of Arizona. I generally stay at very nice hotels (in cities). In smaller towns, my choices are obviously somewhat limited. I chose one of the top of the line rooms and was pleasantly suprised. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the internet was very fast and easy to connect to. Even though as I am used to staying at very expensive hotels and can be something of a pest, the staff remained very courteous and helpful. They even set up a conference room for an after hours business meeting. All in all, a very nice stay.

Room was not ready when we checked in ie: no towels, large nasty stain on comforter, not told when we checked in the the jacuzzi was broken and this was the main reason we choose this hotel, air conditioner did not work correctly room was hot/humid. And to top it off we told the desk clerk that our debit card might not work since we were having problems and she told us that if it did not work she would just comp the room due to our problems but when the card went through she charged us full price with no compensation at all. Not the kid of motel I would have expected. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED OVER!

On the night of July 24 we rented a room and the a/c wasn't working we called to see if we could get a fan the gentleman that answered the phone said he didn't have any, so we ended up sleeping with the door open which was a bit uncomfortable for us as you would imagine, especially with our little one. A very nice older couple the next night asked the desk clerk if we had gotten a fan and if not if they had any available to give to us. The clerk said that they had fans and if we needed one just to let her know if we had not gotten one earlier that day. We went in and talked to her to see if we could get a fan so we could stay cool, she did one better and offered us a diffrent room if that would help us out better. Which we really appreciated. The gentleman the night before was just being really lazy and we did not deserve such service for what we paid for the room. We do on the other hand appreciate the night desk clerk for having a heart and trying to make things right. If we are treated like this again we will not be back.

The furniture is old and stained along with the carpet. Who ever decorated the rooms needs to get better taste nothing matched. Doors were broken wouldn't close right, sinks leak, drapes falling apart, old furniture. The rooms are old and falling apart. I dont think that the owners really care if the roof falls in. The staff was great and friendly, but I feel bad for the people who have to clean the rooms you cant fix whats already crap. I think they need some major improvement on their rooms if you are to stay in business. I will not be returning to this hotel

As soon as we walked in we were greated by an unfriendly person. She looked at us like we were bothering her. I think we interupted her TV show. She slowly got off a chair in the shop they have and took her time getting to the computer where we could check in. We tried to get some directions and ask her where we could go to eat that was good in town she acted like she didnt have time for us and we didn't get a very good response. I don't think I'll be going back very unfriendly place

Aug 08. I do not believe the room I was in has been updated since the 60s. The room is very dark resulting from dark paneled walls and lamps with low light capability. The carpet was badly stained, the bathroom floor has loose dirt, shower badly needs recaulking, tub is dingy, behind bathroom door is cobwebs and missed dirt during cleaning. The towels seemed clean but the hand cloths showed dirt from previous usage that did not come out in laundry. The sheets and bed seemed okay. Was obvious they only change towels and make beds during stay. I hope I never need to stay at this hotel again.

Have been there many times and have always enjoyed our stays. The rooms are large and comfortable with nice western decor. There is a very nice gift shop and hand crafted curios for all.

Good rates. Friendly service. Very nice rooms.
