Poor shape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/08
This hotel is very run down. Screens on windows are bent and broken. Hide-a-bed did not work as advertised. When asked for the bed, they told me they could not accomadate. When I pressed the issue they brought up a roll-away which was in terrible shape to sleep in. It was like sleeping on the inside of an egg shell. Furniture in the room was broken and dirty. Breakfast was poor with very little selection (no fruit). I will not stay here again.

OK place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/07
Our room was OK, a bit noisy, the access key to the building/room didn't always work, the continental breakfast was basic, and there was no wireless internet connection as their website indicated. One of the reasons we stayed at this hotel was its having wireless internet connections. We had to drive down the road to "connect." This in and of itself was not so much the issue but more than that the staff did not assist us in anyway to solve the problem. The manager just said she was sorry. She hadn't called the internet provider nor updated us as to why the service was down even after we left several messages with staff at the front desk.

Fit the bill
By Shelley, 10/27/06
Friendly service, better than average free breakfast, very nice pool area, were able to keep bike in room and nobody blinked an eye. Would stay there again unless I wanted something romantic or more luxury.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/06
THE STAFF PROMISED MUCH, DELIVERED NOTHING ABOUT BELONGINGS THAT WERE LEFT IN THE ROOM. DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND, YOU MAY NOT GET IT BACK. I PROBABLY WON'T STAY THERE AGAIN

The BEST
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/06
WOW! All my great memories of Moab start with waking up at the Moab Valley Inn! In the heat of the day, the pool is the greatest! Nice workout room. I love this hotel and will continue to be a faithfull stayer as long as there is vacancy!! A bit of a walk to the main drag, but if you've come to hike, a walk will never kill you! Two thumbs up!

Terrible customer service
By C.E., 10/09/05
After reserving a room to participate in the Lance Armstrong Foundation Moab Century bicycle ride, I arrived at the Moab Valley Inn, as scheduled, only to find that the hotel had mistakenly made my reservation for one week earlier and had debited my charge card when I did not show up. Mistakes happen but should be corrected. The desk clerk offered me a substitute for the room I had reserved. It was on the busiest hallway in the establishment. She said that was all she had available. She would not correct the “No Show” charge they had put on my card a week earlier but told me I would have to take it up the with the desk supervisor in the morning. The following morning, dressed in my biking clothes, ready to ride, I talked to the desk supervisor who, to my amazement, refused to authorize credit for the mistaken charge and told me to take it up with the general manager on Monday. I was astounded and was certainly unwilling to give them any more business. I told the desk supervisor I would be checking out immediately. Even then, I had to talk her into not charging me for the night I was canceling. She acted like she was doing me a favor. I had to go back to my room to change clothes and pack so I could get out before the published checkout time. (I am sure that this desk clerk would allow no leeway in this regard.) Consequently, I could not participate in the ride. I am soured on Moab and will complain to the ride organizers.

Friendly, Homey Atmosphere!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/05
This is the place to stay when in Moab. The friendliest staff provides a down home feel. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and decorated well. They have a wonderful free morning breakfast I would hardly call "continental". It has all that and more. You will LOVE your experience at the Moab Valley Inn. Don't forget a dip in the indoor/outdoor pool. It is one of a kind as is the service. You will find yourself coming back over and over after one visit, I guarantee it.
