Not what I expected for what I paid for
By Lee, 08/31/09
We had a two story suite on the 22nd floor.........we COULD see both falls, but had asked for a front room. The pull out sofa was so bad the springs were coming thru the very thin mattress. The King sized bed upstairs was so uncomfortable that one of the children in our group slept on the floor and 1 of the adults after sleeping in the king size bed opted to sleep on the coach with the springs sticking out................needless to say the bed was NOT comfortable. Two years before we stayed in a falls view room and it was MUCH better. NOt sure we will stay there again..................Food was TOO expensive........going back to the States when we come back for our next visit.

Never trust reservation staff
By Manny, 08/20/09
Me and my wife planned 5th and 6th sepetember'09 vaction. She spoke to reservation staff for 30 minutes and got the confirmation for $549.95. When I called to update the credit card they asked for the confirmation number, that rep said we made an error now we will charge you $749.95. They refused to own up their mistake as they gave us the confirmation number. Staff was extremly rude and refused to accept the mistake. Their manager Tessa who did not bother to call back for days till I called her back to hear her decision. She said that Hotel will be sold out that day so we cannot do much. After pressing very hard she agreed $50 credit. It's a matter of trust. So we cancelled the vacation and now have booked a vacation in Muskoka. They only wanted to say that WE DON'T CARE as we will get business from some body else. So why accept the mistake. I will never ever plan to go there ever. Thanks for reading.

not that great
By Vacationer, 06/27/09
the room was hot a/c did not stay running, the view was ok.parking garage is far from the hotel hard to get to with children and luggage the inside pool has 4 seats and small outdoor pool is ok.luggage cart only available with a fee.hotel elevators work about 50% of the time very aggravating. The price of the room too high just for a view. If you want newer nicer food places stay on the other end this side of town is rundown. Check in was very slow need to have a line forming

Not a good experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/09
Had a great room with a view of the falls on the 18th floor Took the 2-day package with breakfast each day and evening meal one night The 'free' breakfast was a actually a credit for half a breakfast each and the evening meal was also a credit for less than half the bill!! The restaurant was grubby and the food was very poor and cold also did not feel welcome at all. The casino next door does super buffer meals at $13.95 with perfect service, leave this hotel to the conference bunch who do not want a view of the falls

Greedy hotel
By Dr. Ryan, 05/30/09
Went for 1 night stay at the falls with wife and 2 children, over $400 for the room, decided on this hotel because of it's connection with the waterpark. On arrival, my wife used the first floor restroom, which was in deplorable condition. Parking is 1 block away, $10 to park yourself, $20 for an attendant to park you. You may only use the luggage carrier if hiring a bell-hopp. If you forgot your toothbrush, no problem, they will provide you with one for $5. Hi-speed internet access for $15. Two LG LCD/HDTV's should be an amazing addition for bed-time, but they didn't get a connection worth viewing (std cable connection, no HD and fuzzy picture even on the 15in set). All in all, they made a very poor impression would not recommend to others.

terrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/16/09
I booked falls view room package, but when I checked into the room found out I got half falls view and half street view and room was smaller than the regular falls view room with two queen, so I had to go back to front desk, after two times changing of the room, finally got the regular room we paid for. This is not the worst part. Hotel checked in the same group of people to the rooms on both sides of my room. so at that night, peopel in that two rooms going in and out and talk loudly, children screaming, the hotel construction is too cheap to have a bit sound proof and smoke came out of the door inside room connecting the other room. our family could not sleep at all. So I had to call service twice at midnight to 1am. But the next morning when I spoke to front desk, they say they sent security upstairs but did not hear any noise! They only will reverse the parking charge $11.30! I insisted to speak to hotel manager. the manager slowly gave out late check out and breakfast. And argued with me on every point. He even threatened me if I escalate this he will pull back what he has "compensated!", unbelievable. I can tell they are used to this type of thing, because this happens everyday in such poorly constructed hotel. The hotel looks nice from outside but really awlful inside. the room is not clean and full of dust! The front desk is rude and arrogant. I will never go back again to this terrible hotel.

Great Location
By caw, 10/20/08
This hotel is in a great location. It's very close to the falls and it is walking distance to many sites. It's easy to walk over the bridge to the US side where you can walk around Goat Island. The views from the hotel restaurant are also really amazing.

"All ages will love this Hotel."
By Saundra, 08/15/08
We recently returned from a 3 day trip to Sheraton on The Falls. We, being 63 yr old grandparents; and 10 & 8 yr old grandchildren. All aspects of the Hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed on the 19th floor, fallsview, w/whirlpool & fireplace. No complaints with room from any of us. Bath had granite countertops, marble flooring, instant hot water, whirlpool tub. Curved shower rod, large adjustable shower head, Kingsize bed with very comfortable mattress, feather pillows. Love seat pulled out for bedding for our grandchildren. The view. We have been to Niagara Falls probable 7-8 times over the years. This is the best view we have ever seen. We were directly above the Oakes garden, a beautiful English style garden built in the 1930's. The panoramic views of both falls left us all with a lack of words. The windows are floor to wall. In the center of the window is a glass door, which opens inward. The bottom of the glass door has an iron grate part way up the opening. With this open, the roar of the falls comes into the room. Trully breathtaking. We watched the fireworks from here & it was gorgeous. We watched crowds of people trying to get a view on the streets. Many were still arriving when show was ending. This hotel is also pet-friendly, for those travelers with pets. We had our 3 lb. poodle, and it worked out quite well. The nearby garden grass was an excellent exercise area, don't forget to clean up any droppings. Area. Location is convenient for any thing you wish to do. Across street from Maid of the Mist entrance. They have attached Hotel to many things to do. Examples- Casino, Arcade, Rain Forest Cafe, Hershey store, Coco Cola store, Gift shops, Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, Parking Deck, many more. You never have to be in inclement weather. Restaurant. Expensive. However, children eat free at breakfast buffet. Adults priced at $19.95. The four of us had breakfast buffet for around $40.00. Great selection. Including fresh omlet & waffle station,; and once again fantastic view. Had one waittress that was poor; and we did not tip. Pools.Indoor and out, grandchildren loved both, and once again include views of both falls. Parking. This is a city type hotel, in a city known for lack of parking. Parking is at casino parking deck. Ten dollars a day if you park. &19.95 for valet parking. We opted to park ourselves, we did ok. However, be prepared to circle parking deck at busier times. I think a better solution, would be to have all valet parking & be added to your room. Perhaps $12.00 a day, instead of $19.95. All parking in area is expensive. Twenty dollars to park in few spots near falls. Previous free shuttles from motels, are all being charged. Check in was slow. Checkout is express. Price of all this was higher than we have ever paid for a room. We used Expedia and received a $50.00 gas card. We also went to a magic show & dinner. Granddaughters loved seeing a tiger disappear. I would trully recommend this Hotel for anyone, of any age group, going to Niagara Falls. Canada. Thanks.

Awful Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/08
Our room had dripping water and when I got up to report it, I fell and broke my nose. The management team to date coudn't seem to care less about either. They scurried me to the hospital agreeing the best thing for me to do would be to reverse my reservation (I'd just checked in and had hardly touched anything in the room.) and remain in the USA after being treated in the Emergency Room, Before sending me on my way, they made sure I had all my luggage and took my key, and said they would handle the rest. At that point I believed them, but I didn't hear from them again until 4 days later, only then to find they had charged my account for $335.38 after all - for a 2-hour nightmare visit, complete with dripping water noises that led to a broken nose, several other serious bruises, and an aching body. Aside from the accident, I would also say the view from our Deluxe Fallsview room was a bit over-rated as it was covered over by bars across the windows. The views from Rainbow Bridge and the Obervation Deck (both free at night and easy to get to from many hotels in the area) were much better. I wouldn't recommend this hotel - their are too many other hotels who seem to care more about their guests - their comfort, well-being, and safety, and the accomodations as nice or better for the same price or even much less. I've never had such a bad experience at any hotel.
