Sheraton On the Falls Hotel, Niagara Falls

Our air did not work , room was so hot all day and nite had to have a fan , room was musky ,

Stayed on the 8th floor, fallsview room. Rooms were clean. Views were spectacular. Hotel staff was very helpful and courtious.

That the Sheraton would have decent rooms.The rooms happened to be a bit old( stuck in the 90's), we unfortunately had a mixed experience here. The staff was nice at times depending on who you get. The room was ok. We found ourselves having to call to come and change our sheets. The sheets and duvet were dirty and ripped. As if they just did the bed rather than change the sheets. The housekeeper was very nice though. The people at starbucks were semi ok, I think she was having a bad morning for the mediocre service. BUT....THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING!! There is nothing like being on the 18th floor overlooking the falls. Just amazing. I think the location of the hotel is what keeping this hotel up and running. The location is pretty amazing I can't say it enough. Everything is just around the corner. There is a very nice park across the street which was a plus for us traveling with our pooch. So don't expect a full 4 star hotel...this is like a Hampton Inn somewhere in the south in a small town. But with incredible views and a great location.

Do not stay here, they are rude, the management are so unprofessional. they over charged me for my booking but did not fix their mistake. I will never ever stay there a gain. do not waste your money. stay at the Hilton better view better customer service

We checked in at the Sheraton on the falls at 1909, we took a shower we got ready and we went to use our $60.00 gift card the Sheraton gave us to play arcade games. We walked around watching the theaters, restaurants and shops, and finally we got hungry and we went to eat. The 1st of July is Canada day so we watched the fireworks from the Restaurant. At around 0120am we got to our room and we went to sleep because we had a flight to catch in the morning and we were going to have to fuel the car, cross the border to the USA, find our way back to the airport and drop the car off. While still at the Sheraton, Cristian went down stairs to get the car, I stayed upstairs getting ready, I said to myself the other two hotels did not have a plasma TV, and we haven’t watched TV, let me at least turn this plasma TV on. I turned the TV on and I saw a big black square on the right side of the TV. I thought it was going to go away, I kept getting ready doing my hair, make up etc etc, and I went by the TV and I still saw the black spot with little lines inside the spot. before I head down stairs, I decided to call the front desk to let them know that the TV was broke, but they did not answer, I grabbed my staff and in my way out I found a housekeeper writing on a clipboard, I told her: the TV in room 372 is broke, I called the front desk but nobody answer, I had left the TV on for you to see, she said: I will go check. And I left, got in the car with Cris drove to BUF and came back to Texas. on Sunday the 4th of July, I received a disturbing call from the Sheraton Manager, stating that I was going to get charge CAD 1,000.00, and accusing me of breaking the TV, I told him what happened, I told him if I had never turn the TV on in the morning that I would have never known that it was broke. He said they were going to charge me $1,000.00 CAD. I told him again and again the situation he was rude, did not want to hear it and I asked to speak to his supervisor. He gave me the phone the director of operations but of course he did not answer his phone. I contacted Starwood/Sheraton Corporate office and filed a complaint, Lisa Loucks at 4876 said she was going to call the Sheraton and talk to them. The manager from the Sheraton said that because I was the last one in that room that I broke the TV, he said nobody reported it before, and the house keeper said that the TV was not broke last time they cleaned that room. 1st, who knows how long that tv has been broke because nobody goes to the Niagara falls to watch tv, and who knows how long its been since it was turned on. 2nd, who knows if the customers that check out before I check in broke the TV and the house keeper did not notice. 3rd, how about if the house keeper broke it while vacuum or cleanifng? 4th is the housekeepers job to turn on and turn off tvs to make sure they are working, but who is watching them to make sure that they do usually do the right thing? The house keeper is not going to admit that she have not check the TV to see if it was broke or not because she/he knows they will get fire. I have been accused wrongly, I have been to beautiful countries and hotels in my life and this have never happened to me before. II have never ever had been treated so low, so unprofessional and with so much unfairness and prejudice like I have been at the Sheraton on the Falls. I called the Niagara falls police department but they said they could not come and make a report about the broken TV, I just want justice, the Sheraton do not have with out the benefit of the doubts proofs of who broke the TV, and because their staff/house keeper are not doing their job, and failed to check the TV like they suppose to, now I am the victim of fraud and scam by the Sheraton, charging me and accusing me for breaking their TV.

The hotel have good view. We booked full falls view room. The receptionist are nice but not very well trained. Their management are very tough. We bring in a very well trained chihuahua and the dog is very quite in the room. The receptionist let us leave our cell phone number . We checked in and put our luggage in hotel room. Two hours later we went to hotel restaurant had dinner for 45 minutes. The hotel restaurant take room number only and charge to room. After they checked our room number they find out my family had dinner in the restaurant that means the dog in the room unattended. We didn't got any call. the Manager Mr. Stewart Cancilla said we have to leave the hotel right away. We are forced to leave the hotel. I just want to say the hotel didn't offer reasonable service instead they trap people pay and leave. I hope I am the only case.

We had a two story suite on the 22nd floor.........we COULD see both falls, but had asked for a front room. The pull out sofa was so bad the springs were coming thru the very thin mattress. The King sized bed upstairs was so uncomfortable that one of the children in our group slept on the floor and 1 of the adults after sleeping in the king size bed opted to sleep on the coach with the springs sticking out................needless to say the bed was NOT comfortable. Two years before we stayed in a falls view room and it was MUCH better. NOt sure we will stay there again..................Food was TOO expensive........going back to the States when we come back for our next visit.

Me and my wife planned 5th and 6th sepetember'09 vaction. She spoke to reservation staff for 30 minutes and got the confirmation for $549.95. When I called to update the credit card they asked for the confirmation number, that rep said we made an error now we will charge you $749.95. They refused to own up their mistake as they gave us the confirmation number. Staff was extremly rude and refused to accept the mistake. Their manager Tessa who did not bother to call back for days till I called her back to hear her decision. She said that Hotel will be sold out that day so we cannot do much. After pressing very hard she agreed $50 credit. It's a matter of trust. So we cancelled the vacation and now have booked a vacation in Muskoka. They only wanted to say that WE DON'T CARE as we will get business from some body else. So why accept the mistake. I will never ever plan to go there ever. Thanks for reading.

the room was hot a/c did not stay running,the view was ok.parking garage is far from the hotel hard to get to with children and luggage the inside pool has 4 seats and small outdoor pool is ok.luggage cart only available with a fee.hotel elevators work about 50% of the time very aggravating.The price of the room too high just for a view. If you want newer nicer food places stay on the other end this side of town is rundown. Check in was very slow need to have a line forming

Had a great room with a view of the falls on the 18th floor Took the 2-day package with breakfast each day and evening meal one night The 'free' breakfast was a actually a credit for half a breakfast each and the evening meal was also a credit for less than half the bill!! The restaurant was grubby and the food was very poor and cold also did not feel welcome at all. The casino next door does super buffer meals at $13.95 with perfect service, leave this hotel to the conference bunch who do not want a view of the falls
