Just pure beauty!!! The place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/10
I love everything about this place. The Hotel rooms were just beautiful and very spacious; had a lovely view of the grounds from our room balcony Spa was just pure tranquility. The best of all the service wow, they truly made us feel welcomed. The front desk agent greated us by saying; "we have been expecting you" talk about being welcomed or what!

Wine & Roses is a thumbs up!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/11/08
I recently held my wedding at Wine & Roses, and couldn't have been happier! the Sales and catering staff made my wedding a dream come true! My sales manager was terrific and very knowledgebale, as well so was my Event coordinator. My calls were returned promptly and everyone was extremely friendy and professional. The day of my wedding, the staff was attentive, and the food was superb! It is such a beautiful place with an enchanting atmosphere. The spa is beautiful and definitely relaxing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Wine & Roses to anyone who wants to have a memorable, enjoyable, stress free, perfect wedding!! (It is not as high priced as I heard it to be or thought it would be- it is the perfectplace!)

Romantic!
By Giant's Fan, 6/6/08
My daughter and new son-in-law recently held their wedding and reception at W&R. I can't say enough about the ambiance of the location! The grounds are picture-perfect, the recently remodeled reception hall spacious and elegant, and everyone bragged about the food and service. We urged our guests to make the event a long-weekend, and book rooms at the hotel. The rooms were fabulous and afforded all a wonderful, memorable experience! W&R made our event the perfect wedding setting. Felicia Miller Elk Grove, CA

Pretentious, overpriced, inept
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/08
We attended a wedding recently, and have been to the Sunday Brunch, and had family luncheons there several times. I would never have returned except for the wedding. We waited over 2 hours for our dinner to be served after being herded to the dining room by staff. The elaborate menu mentioned hors d'oeuvres which we never saw. We had preordered steak, not chicken. The waiter arrived at our table with chicken for everyone and said that people before us had "changed their order." It seems to me that they should have provided more steak for those who ordered it, or checked the place cards that indicated what people had ordered. It was poor planning, and incredibly poor service. This confirmed my resolve to avoid Wine and Roses in the future.

Overpriced and Disappointing
By Rose, 5/13/08
My sister and I decided to take our mom to Wine and Roses Restaurant for Mother's Day after seeing a write-up in Sacramento Magazine. All I can say is that I found the experience extremely disappointing and incredibly overpriced considering the quality, or lack there of. I ordered a steak with foie gras, broccoli and baby carrots. It sounded wonderful on the menu, but in reality, the "steak" was, bar none, the worst cut of meat I have ever been served in any restaurant. The only thing that made it palatable was the sauce. The carrots were reasonably good, but the broccoli was so undercooked as to be almost raw. Even the bread was dry and tasteless, nothing that I couldn't have picked up at any corner grocery store. When I dine at a restaurant that purports itself to be the "best in fine dining", I expect EVERYTHING, including the bread to be something extraordinary. To make matters worse, my mom said that her chicken wasn't very good, although she liked the soup. I can't even begin to describe what they did with the meal I had asked them to prepare for me to take home to my husband (before I had sampled my own meal). Suffice it to say that, had I been smart, I would have cancelled the order. I will never, ever go back, nor would I ever recommend Wine and Roses to anyone.

Relaxing Stay
By Jamie, 4/28/08
I had a wonderful stay at this location. The staff is very helpful and friendly plus the rooms a very clean and spacious with a patio for each one! I was able to visit the spa which was a nice treat that uses great products! I will definately return the next time I am wine tasting in this area!

We stayed in the hotel for a night and it was delightful with large rooms beautifully furnished and the most comfortable bed ever! Dinner was deluxe and the service and people were first class. Total recommendation of a great experience.

WEDDING DISASTER
By ann, 11/8/07
a beautiful place but complete disaster for wedding. total disorganization on hotel management staff. no phone calls returned, no plan for wedding, just fumbling all the time....the wedding was no better.....venue was not ready on time...sent the wrong flowers in, could not find the cake...no service for dinner, they said too short of staff to have anyone pour drinks. think twice before having a wedding there!!!

Wedding Planner Disaster
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/22/07
If you are planning on having your wedding here, you'd better think twice. Though the venue is beautiful, the event coordinator was horrible. She was not only clueless when it came to answering our questions but was very RUDE. I could understand if she was new but this was the Head Event Planner, Charina.

Can you say Elegance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/07
Wine and Roses is without a doubt the most amazing and beautiful facility for corporate business meetings anywhere in the valley. They cater food and have spacious hotel rooms. They have a restaurant and a resort spa. What is there to do in lodi for a corporate retreat? LOTS ... I found out that there is over 100 wineries in the area. Can you say wine tasting... There is a beautiful lake and a park both within a mile from Wine & Roses also. Nature walks. Live entertainment everynight....... Wine & Roses is amazing. You have to check this hidden secret out for yourselves.
