Econo Lodge Chesterton, Chesterton

Got there late and left early in morning, glad we didn't have to stay any longer than that. Bathroom looked like it had black mold by baseboard behind toilet. Daughters pillow had stains on it, our bedspread had what looked like blood stain. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke as soon as you walked in. Shower was leaking and dripping, carpet was sticky and walls had joint compound all over and needed painted. Bathroom ceiling had brown stains from water leak and continental breakfast was packaged little debbie snacks!! Felt dirty after staying there it was so disgusting, but didn't want to use the shower there. Will never go back!

I did not want to stay here from the start. Upon checking in and entering our room, we found burn holes in bedspread. Then after long day riding a motorcycle to get there, we wanted to wash up before dinner. Went to use our washcloth and found it had already been used. It was quite dirty. When I went to service desk to ask for another, I had give my room number as they had to "keep track of it". Disgusting place I would not stay there again.

This was not a bad place to stay. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were large. Water pressure in the shower was excellent! Most motels the water just trickles out. The breakfast didn't have more than cookies,juice and coffee...but that isn't something that is terribly important to me. The location was great, lots of places to eat within walking distance, and convenient to major roads.
