no heat douple beds not queen

it was ok not worth 88.00 it was very cold in the room left heater on for a hour when went to store still cold still cool air found out they are sit to heat no more than 68 over two hours to get 68 couldnt see out dirty windows one little bottle of shampoo for a double beds room three adults dirty bathroom floors .

Non-smoking room smelled like smoke

I stayed as short as possible here, because my non-smoking room smelled like smoke. My room door also stuck, causing it to be tough to open and close--it was even open when I first arrived at the room. I wouldn't stay there again.

Good things about this place: location close to downtown, Arcata. Place is kind of worn, but clean. Unfortunately, my non-smoking room reeked of vanillaish air freshner, so strong it woke me up at night! Blanket was thin acrylic and not esp. warm. Room was clean. Ckeck in was simple. This place is right on 101 south so you hear trucks and cars all night. I wouldn't call this place an uplifting experience, for that you go to Clarion or Carter House, but the price is right (with discounts) and better than the motel 6.

Great for the price!

Beds were comfortable and clean. I was surprised to find a microwave, refrigerator, iron, and coffee in the room! Nothing fancy - we were coming in late and leaving in the morning and just were looking for an inexpensive, clean, comfortable room - and we found just that! Check in and check out were very quick and simple. There was even a tiny continental breakfast. I would stay again.

We've got a family member in a wheelchair, and after reading the review, we've definitely been scared away.

We've never stayed here. We've read the reviews, prior to making reservations (we have a family member in a wheelchair)and after reading the reviews, we've definitely been scared away, and aren't requesting reservations from this facility. Hopefully, these reviews aren't coming from disgruntled employees, competitors, etc.

So-So Experience

We had a so-so experience at this motel. The front desk check-in person was friendly, but it was only her 2nd day on the job and she didn't really know what she was doing. Our toilet made funny sounds and plugged up while we were there. The staff "fixed" it, but it continued to make funny sounds and drained very slowly. The people were friendly enough, but seemed rushed. Room was comfortable and clean. It had a neat, curved bay window and a curved shower curtain, which was a very nice touch.
