Not bad
By Sweetpea, 10/15/12
Definately not what it looks like in the picture. In the middle of remodeling the outside. Restaraunt was closed. Friendly staff

A decent place to stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/21/09
The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. The hotel is close to most White Mountain attractions. The restaurant isn't bad, but could be better. We only ate there twice. There are lots of places to eat in Littleton, which is 2/3 exits down the interstate.

Do Not Go There
By adisa, 11/26/07
as soon as we walked in the smell of the mildew was overpowering. we went to the room and there was a bedding old probably 10 years. beds were so bad my husband and i could not get up in the morning. we did not sleep at all. Our back was killing us. there was no breakfast , there was no open restaurant, I went to ask for a crib for the baby and they told me that they don’t know if they have it (i did ask for one when i mad e reservation) and if they do i will need to pay extra $10.00 for it. Each night that we stayed there. In the morning the front desk person was not there so i called him and he came out all sleepy and in HIS BOXER SHORTC WHAT?????? i was so shocked i could not believe it. i asked if they had salt and pepper ,do any sugar packages’ was told NO. no breakfast no open restaurant...all lies. DO NOT GO TO TAHT HOTEL. It was awful. If you can stay somewhere else rooms are so dirty and I possibly infested with bed bugs. Good thing I had some blankets. All food in the fridge froze and they don’t have a satellite, they have about 15 channels and none of them is HBO. it was very funny experience. I would not recommend bed bugs to anyone. But if you want to go be my guest. If you do go good luck you will need it.

Awful place
By SuellenK, 10/21/07
I should have cancelled our reservation the moment I walked into the musty, mildewed lobby, but they require 3 days notice and I would have been out the money. The beds were saggy and I woke up with a backache. They let us change rooms the next day, but it wasn't much better. The fridge was broken and froze all our food. Worse yet, the floors must be very thin because the night manager called our room twice after 11 p.m. claiming that people had complained about us "running around the room" while all we were doing was quietly watching TV and occasionally going to the bathroom. To top it off, none of the staff even told us about the complimentary breakfast!

The continental breakfast was lacking in choice as was the sitting area. The indoor pool/suana was overcome with a bleach smell. The rooms were in need of updating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Never use the Banquet Room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/9/07
I had booked my daughters wedding 15 months prior to the event to be held in their banquet room. We also reserved 30 rooms for out of town guests. In that time span there were several different managers and none of them knew what the previous manager had agreed to do. Thank goodness I had a contract! Two weeks before the wedding my daughter called to check on some of the guest reservations & were told some had been cancelled (they had not been), she was also checking as to whether the kitchen had been cleaned, if they had a bartender, if they had gotten the table linens, etc., & the hotel owner was very rude to her. She wanted her day to be as perfect as possible & he was awful to her. It is now 2 days since the wedding. Some of the reservations were in the wrong name, some of the rooms that were supposed to be adjoining were not, the front dest clerk was totally clueless! We had to clean the tables for the banquet, vaccuum the room ourselves,& cob webs hanging from the ceiling. We did all this cleaning before decorating. Then after the wedding we cleaned again & I also had to bring home the table linens to clean them! Have you ever heard such a thing? I am returning the linens today & will never step foot in that place again. Their continental breakfast is a joke. The cream even soured in the coffee! It is such a shame as to the management of that place. The banquet room is beautiful & in a beautiful location of the White Mountains. I live about 30 miles from the resort & there are not many places available in which to have a function that will accommodate over 150 guests. We had 164 guests. There are many more things I could tell you about but this is already long enough.

Could be better
By Lynne, 12/24/06
My husband and I travel with our kids often. We like to stay at hotels that have a restaurant on property. This hotel did not. It is advertised on the internet as having a bar called the Double Diamond, but they do not have that opened. Traveling with kids its nice to stay in a place that has it all, so going out each night is not a must. The pool is advertised as heated, which it was more on the cool side, which may be fine in summer months when it is 90 degrees out, but in cold months heated should mean heated. The desk person was very nice about it, and said it would be looked into. But while we were there it did not warm up at all, and we were there for three days. Other families also said it was a little cold while we were in the pool. This could be a very beautiful place, but it has downsides to it.

Very nice hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/05
The staff was very friendly, there's a pool, sauna, excercise room, free continental breakfast, cable tv, function room, air conditioning.... The hotel is in a very good spot....near everything and a short drive to all the attractions. The hotel was really clean, and I very much enjoyed my stay. I'll be back!!
