Not really sure what to think.
By Brian, 06/11/09
Although the staff was extremely friendly this was our least favorite hotel of the 5 day trip. We were given a suite for the $99 rate but it seemed like no one had stayed there for quite a few months. The building had some rot and the room was not super clean, just okay. Luckily the weather was not too hot because the room did not have air conditioning which amazed me. The ceiling fans were sufficient. The staff let us borrow a video from there office collection…no charge. The location is about 5 miles south of Portsmouth.

Love to return

Great location, quick ride (3 minutes) to the beaches and a 5 minute cab ride into downtown Portsmouth for dinner and drinks. Enjoyed the pool and spa.

A great getaway ruined!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/07
The room was dirty, dusty and had a smell that we couldn't locate. The service was less than helpful when we complained. For this we pais well over 200 dollars. a 12 by 12 room for that money ought to be illegal. The pool was dark dreary, and kind of dirty. We were really looking forward to getting away, and the web site paints a pretty picture, but the website is very misleading.

Isles Of Shoals Rm
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/17/06
This room was amazing. Beautiful and very romantic. I would suggest it to anyone with a romantic idea, or something to impress a woman! Winter time was ideal, with a cozy fireplace, can't get more romantic than this.

We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/05
We were hesitant about staying in the Tropical Suite after we booked it and then read the posting from Bristol, ME. The room was great...we wondered if it was the same room. We enjoyed the open bathtub idea, and added comments to the guest book also. (The coconut was there to avoid hitting your head on the spiral staircase, and everyone joked about it in the book...either people in Bristol ME are WAY too sensitive, or they don't get out much. LOL) Looking forward to going back this winter!

Hoping to go back soon and often
By footballfan, 10/17/05
My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and they made it a wonderful night for us. Even though we were getting in late, they let us check in early that afternoon and then when we got to our room that night they had a fire going, music on, and it was all set for us to have a wonderful first night as husband and wife, especially after a hectic (but wonderful) day. We didn't have to worry about anything and that was great! The staff was very helpful and friendly. While we were looking for a place to stay, they allowed us to come in and look around to see what we thought and to see if it was what we wanted. They also answered any questions we had about our stay.

Loved it & going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/05
I'll tell you, you can never please everyone, But I think its one of the nicest places my husband and I have staayed at in a long time.We travel alot, and the price is a little below average actually and I found very pleasing to the eye.and comfortable. I surpose if I wanted to to the white glove treatment, and look under the bed, Id find things to complain about too as others do,,,,But Life is to short,,,as I say to many Shop before you Buy then you have nothing to complain about? God Bless you all.. Kathy & Barry From Rhode Island
