You can't go wrong here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
This is one of the nicest places I've stayed. You won't regret making a reservation here. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Service is great. Big hotel chains can learn from Ivey's customer service.

Seeing is Believing
By justcuz, 01/18/07
My husband and I visited Houlton last summer and had reserved a room at another hotel. When we got there the hotel we reserved smelled, looked unkept and something you'd see in a horror movie. We decided to cancel and pay the cancellation fee after seeing Ivey's Motor Lodge. The front desk lady was very nice even though we came in at the last minute. Room was very clean, staff was like family, and breakfast was delicious. We plan on staying there on our next visit.

Clean, comfortable and friendly!
By MicheleF, 06/27/06
We make many trips to the Houlton area and ALWAYS stay at Ivey's...the others we stayed at just don't compare. The rooms and common areas are always exceptionally clean and very comfortable. They have just added more rooms and redone the lounge (now known as O'Kelley's). It's a great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful company of the locals and the amazingly friendly staff. Every one of the employees makes you feel like you are in a home away from home. Location is convenient with many restaurants and stores nearby.

Great! place to stay
By Shelley, 07/31/05
It is in a Great location. Lots of eating places, gas and stores. Our room was awesome. coffee pot, microwave and refrig. Our cable tv even had HBO. Also AC. The lady at the desk was so friendley, it is like you have known her for years. They have a breakfast bar in the am, with lots to eat for all ages, also you can buy meals for your microwave. we were so impressed. we will definitely stay again.

Diamond in the Rough
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/05
As we drove up to the lodge, I have to admit that by looking at the 50's style sign outside made me feel a little uneasy about the inside, but I was remarkably surprised- and very impressed. The lady at the desk was very pleasent and assisted us with a kind smile during check-in and check-out. The entire place was very clean and well kept. The room was tastefully decorated and had a comfy couch and large TV with DVD (you can rent DVDs cheap, too- and they are actually new releases!). The bathroom was medium sized and had a curved shower curtain for more room. We only got to eat the breakfast which was good, the restuarant was attractive. I noticed they had a glass topped freezer out in the hallway with frozen treats and meals to make in the microwave in your room. Someone was definately thinking! The overall stay was very nice and I think other motels and hotels should take an example from Ivey's with their customer service, cleanliness, and amenties. Location relative to business was wonderful as well. Ivey's is definately a diamond in Houlton. They have a website.

The Best Motel in Houlton, ME
By Jane, 06/07/04
This is a beautiful brick motel with swimming pool, cable TV, free continental breakfast, beautiful up-to-date rooms with DVD player and coffee pot in each one. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is very good and the overall look of the motel is modern, clean and welcoming. I tried to get a room here after refusing a room at another motel in Houlton, which I had booked over the internet. Sorry to say, they did not have any available rooms. I was allowed to see one of the rooms and was very impressed. The bed was very comfortable, the TV large with remote, data access available for the internet and the bathroom was medium sized and quite adequate. I will absolutely book this motel for the next trip to Houlton.
