A White Christmas
By Granny, 01/23/10
In 2009, in lieu of gifts, we took several of our family for three nights in Red Bud Valley beginning Christmas Eve. There were eight of us - mostly young married couples. Arrived Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we awoke to a blanket of white. We were in the Executive House and the view down to the lake was breaktaking. Deer around most of the time. It was very cold, but there was a fireplace and the young men enjoyed keeping it going. The kitchen furnishing were absolutely fabulous. We had turkey, dressing, etc. - the traditional Christmas dinner. The first place we ever stayed that had enough storage (pantry) space for all the "stuff" it takes to cook away from home. There were plenty of lovely dishes, some with seasonal patterns. The kids loved the hot tub. One of the most vivid mental pictures is of them running across the snow and up the steps through the snow, barefooted. The feet went directly to the fireplace to get warm. The grandchildren (young marrieds) enjoyed being together as they do not live near each other. We will likely return, but probably not in such numbers. One of the grandsons has made reservations for he and his wife to celebrate their anniversary later this year.

The perfect family getaway!!!
By Teresa, 12/20/09
There wasn't anything we disliked about our experience at Red Bud Valley Resort. We stayed in the Executive House (Dec.11-14)...it was great. Absolutely everything was included in our price, i.e. fully stocked kitchen (all appliances, dishes) fire wood delivered to your door everyday, washer and dryer, the list goes on and on!!! It was all the comforts of home and the view was spactacular. Staff is wonderful and very friendly. We will definitely return for future visits. Thank you!!!!

Always enjoyable!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/09
We have been going to RBV since our children were small 20 years ago. We've stayed in various cabins and enjoyed each of them for different reasons. Since no one could come to our place for Thanksgiving, we took Grandma and stayed in cabin 6 for 4 nights/5 days. We needed peace and quiet and were not disappointed. Everyone read and slept to their heart's content. The cabin was recently renovated beautifully. The icing on the cake was the view (from the porch) of numerous deer each morning and evening. It is a long way for us to come, but we love it everytime.

The most relaxing get-away ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/09
Our Country Safari" cabin was perfect, from the comfortable seating to the luxurious bed, the jacuzzi tub,to the stars on the ceiling! WOW! We so enjoyed our walks in the woods and just sitting in the porch swing watching the sun set! The staff were amazing, very eager to please, yet our privacy was greatly respected. If you are looking for a romantic, peaceful, relaxing, get-away, this is the place.

ANNIVERSARY RETREAT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/09
8 years ago, we married and RBV hosted our family and the wedding brunch. We rented the entire resort plus the little hall for the brunch. At the time, the staff went out of their way to help us with planning even though we married at Thorncrowne and not at the resort. Every year since, my husband and I have returned to celebrate our anniversary in 11C. We love the grounds, the peaceful setting, the deer, and the staff have always been wonderful. Our cabin is always clean and our family still talk about how much fun they had back in 2001 and how nice it was to all be together. We come back every year because the cabin is still so special and nice, the staff is still friendly and wonderful to work with and if there's a problem, DJ always works things out with us. If you have a special occasion or just want to get away, we recommend RBV. We've already booked for next October and plan to continue for many years to come.

Our little Piece of Heaven is in Cabin 11
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/09
For our 25th wedding anniversary I decided to take my wife back to Red Bud where we stayed on our honeymoon,Our previous cabin was no longer availiable and Cabin 11 offered all the amenities that we wanted at a very good price. It was once again a wonderful experience for both of us to sit and enjoy the tranquil setting of our cabin, to sit on the porch swing at night and enjoy our 3 little visitors each night was the most fun(3 Raccoons) They love popcorn! It was so peaceful & quiet at the end of our road (Not a care in the world!) The staff went out of their way to provide us with all our special needs for our stay (T/Y again) also our hostess at check-in time put out the extra effort and made the trip down to the cabin to make sure all was right with the cabin upon our entry. The cabin brought back alot of memories for us walking in that day. We shouldn't have waited so long to go back to Red Bud. Lying in bed at night watching the starry night unfold was such a treat, plus having a fireplace to use on our last night added an even more romantic touch to our final night. It was hard to pack up and leave knowing true civilization was a day away. The little spotted fawn at our cabin parking was a good sign to me that all was well and right with the world. The grounds of the resort were well kept and it was apparent ot me that the property and cabins were still being maintained and taken care of by staff and the owners that cared about what they provided to the customer. I would recommend Red Bud Valley to any one wanting a break from society/civilization to recharge, relax, rekindle and enjoy a true romantic Ozark experience.

A great memory maker
By STEVENW, 09/29/09
We stayed in cabin 7b and were very impressed with how clean it was. The location was perfect as far as being somewhat secluded yet close to town. As first time visitors from KC we brought relatives with us from Spokane, WA and we all could not have enjoyed it more. Will be going back for sure.

Would love to go back every year.
By Sherry, 09/22/09
My sister & I took Mom & Dad to Red Bud Valley Resort to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. They are both in their 80s and needed place that was walker assessable. We found that cabin 9 & 10 worked perfectly for us. My sister and I stayed in the upstairs cabin and they stayed in the downstairs cabin. It was lovely! It was at a deadend lane with lots of trees around it. The cabins were both decorated beautifully and warm and inviting. Only problem was the beds were high and Dad couldn't get in and out without a step stool. Boy were the bed wonderful. It rained while we were there and between the beds and the sound of rain it was hard to get out of bed. We would definitely go back again and stay longer. Friendly and beautiful place to stay. We saw a lot of deer and they seemed to be not afraid of us.

Still peaceful and beautiful, even after 20 years.
By Richard, 09/18/09
We had our honeymoon in cabin 12 back in 1989 and our 20th anniversary there also just a couple days ago. It happened to be during the week this time so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed canoeing, hiking, and watch the baby deer wonder around our cabin. It was amazing how quiet and peaceful it was. The porch swing and jacuzzi were wonderful. We even had 4 masked late night visitors (racoons) fighting over an apple on the porch the first night. We had a great time and hope to go back before the next 20 years have slipped bye.
