Antares Hotel, Aviano

Hotel is in the mountains of Piancavallo. Great if you're there to go skiing. Most of the hotels in Piancavallo are geared around this concept. The rooms aren't anything to write home about, but they're a place to crash after a long day of skiing. If you're there to visit Aviano, you'd better have a stickshift or a rental. It's a steep a windy road down the mountain. It'd be a shame to burn up your brakes on any car other than a rental! Piancavallo is a nice little area. There are a few shops and restaurants. I was there in the Summer when not a whole lot was open.
