IDW Esperanza Resort, Traku Seniunija

We stayed at the Vica as part of our wedding arrangements; actually getting married in the Ice Chapel near Alta. From the moment of our arrival to the moment we left, the staff were exemplary in their efforts to make us feel special and they most certainly succeeded. The food was a new and very positive Norwegian experience, being of consistently high quality and our room and surroundings were of a very relaxing and comfortable nature in traditional Norwegian style. In our wedding package the staff and management included some very unexpected and much appreciated little surprise touches which truly enhanced our stay at the Vica. Their genuine friendliness and sincerity was both unpatronising and a refreshingly bright aspect of all that we experienced in Alta. I have stayed in many hotels due to the nature of my work and I can state with complete accuracy from long experience, that a great many UK establishments could learn a great deal about customer service from the folks at the Vica! My wife Lynette and I will be returning to Alta in around Jan/Feb of 2008 to go on the 3 day husky safari and there are no prizes for guessing where we will be staying on the other days during our stay!
