Good English and very helpful

This hotel is situated at one end of the beautiful old cobbled shopping street so is ideally placed for the town centre and tourist office. The staff all speak very good English and in typical Danish style, if they cannot help you, they will find someone who can.
There are a choice of two restaurants.
The Scottish Pub (Fox and Hounds) offers good value food usually without booking and is also frequented by locals. The menus are in English, German or Danish. I have eaten steak and chips, burgers and curries when visiting it.
The a la carte restaurant supplies haute cuisine superbly cooked and beautifully presented, can get very busy particularly with the business community and is also quite highly priced for a 'normal' evening meal. The last meal that I had there was Blackcock on sauted spring onions and full of flavour.
When I have rated this hotel it is with the view that it is in a provincial town and not a major city centre establishment so I am not comparing it with something like the Ritz, more for an average tourist visiting the town.
