Heavenly and relaxing

First, "Iaorana" is the word you'll often hear, meaning Hello and Welcome.
My partner and I stayed in a Garden Bungalow, and my in-laws stayed in an Over-Water Bungalow.
Rooms: Very clean. Beautiful bathroom and inside of roof. Patio is big enough for a small cocktail party. Loved the open concept of the bungalow, it's just missing a kitchen, and that would be great! Beautiful hibiscus bushes surrounding the bungalows. Never heard the neighbors. We preferred using the fans of the AC without the AC option. Didn't really used the bathtub, it was our laundry basket actually. Inside, we had no bugs whatsoever.
The over-water bungalow was AMAZING! The lagoon, the sun and you …and room service – that’s it. They have roomy ceramic bathrooms, and two patios. The bottom patio has a shower. Under the coffee table is a window looking at the lagoon below the bungalow. Bring bread to attract fishes!!
Hotel: The site is marvelous! The sunsets are beautiful! The hotel itself is not too big, not too small. Very quiet, no noisy kids when I was there. Pool is refreshing and clean. Forget about the hot tub though, had a weird color - who needs a hot tub when it's so hot outside anyways? We didn't even find that the bugs where bad: really not many mosquitoes, but maybe they spray the bushes too, dunno. Boutiques are over priced!! Facilities were very clean. Actually they are doing some constructions on some bungalows, and I don't recall hearing noisy machine noises, so they must work manually I imagine, and they covered the construction walls pretty good too.
Restaurants: The beach bar was very good actually: good food to try, and many drinks too. The big restaurant has beautiful decorations, and its shows are very interesting and beautiful. The food is good, but I would recommend exploring around the island also for very good to excellent dishes. The crepes bar is located where the over-water bungalows are, you can access it anytime. Check the schedule, as it is not always open everyday. Odd but we got paper napkins at all restaurants during our stay, and the staff explained that it was because the hotel's laundry mega machines broke down. No biggie.
Nightlife: very relaxed by the bar or on the beach, with soft Polynesian music in the background. But NO nightclubs, that's at very few places in Moorea, but mostly in Tahiti. I didn't ask the barman if he could play some more modern music -maybe he would have accepted.
Staff: they were super duper friendly to us four -and as helpful as they could i guess, with our hundred questions on anything. We were told not to give them tips (since their salary already include that) unless you really enjoyed their service.
Animals: Some friendly dogs roamed around, some hens and roosters come hang around the beach bar, some lovely birds wake you up in the morning, and lovely fishes hang around the corals close by the beach.
Island: Heavenly! Not as populated as Tahiti, and way more relaxed ambiance. Visit the fruits plantations, Rotui and the Agricultural School. The belvedere is high but the view there is worth the time, no bathrooms there beware -well there's always the behind the bush solution, which seems to be popular in these islands. Public beaches are nice to have a pique-nique, a splash, and chill with the locals.
Locals: they are mostly kind people but there are bad apples everywhere so be smart too and not put yourself in compromising situations. Beautiful mix of people they are, and always ready to smile. Some locals' faces just look mean or frightful, but when you talk to them, some are actually friendly. "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies there perfectly.
