Summer Station Hotel, Cape May

I just returned from a week at Summer Station. Our stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The amenities can't be beat. We all end up talking at the pool while the children swim and everyone agrees Summer Station has it all -- location, view, pool, daily housekeeping service, washer/dryer, internet, parking, price, and a great staff. When I saw a negative review online, I couldn't understand why. I've been staying at the Summer Station for over 20 years. I've tried B&B's, a few other hotels, and house rentals in Cape May. I have never had a better hotel experience for a family than Summer Station offers.

Worst dump I ever stayed in .... totally rude owner, save your money and rent a trailer

I like the fact that the front desk staff are friendly,also the maintance super is so funny he is a riot and a great guy.The ocean views rock.Parking a big plus especially summertime.Pool excellent.Even the ramp for the cart for your clothing was great no struggles.What else it is fabalous.Looking forward to going bk hopfully this yr.

Our suite did have a kitchen w/ dishwasher and infestation of ants that were all over the staples, bread, sugar etc that I had left on the counter. The furniture was scarred and cheap. One end table had a piece of plywood for a top and finally- the concrete hallways of this place are cleaned by hosing them down-leaving us with a puddle of water outside the door for the 3 days we were there!

Great place. I stay here every visit and is still a great place! Good location. Right across the street of a great Cape May beach. Within decent walking distance of many of my favorite places (Arcade area on boardwalk, mall, Congrass Hall, and pleanty of amazing Cape May restraunts!) It has a nice pool and sundeck. Offers parking (1 spot/room included in room rate, there is near by street parking for additional cars) Very large rooms. Most have two bedrooms, a living room, a full-sized kitchen, an eating area, a bathroom, plus a washer/dryer. Larger rooms are avilible. Ocean views on all rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. A very nice place. Average Cape May price.

If you need total relaxation but can't afford to eat out every nite, this is the place for you. You get a full condo (with all the amenities of home) for the price of a single room! There is a dishwasher & full kitchen (to make macaroni & cheeses for the kids)& a washer/dryer so that you don't have to pack everything you own. Right accross from the beach, almost EVERYTHING is in walking distance so that you don't have to drive everywhere. This is the vacation that I actually came back rested from. There's a pool for the kids & everyone is "family friendly". We go every year & have recommended it to family & friends. Enjoy! P & J

Our family of four has been coming to Summer Station for about 4 years. Each time we come, we enjoy the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel's close proximity to the beach. This is by no means a five star hotel, but it is clean, the staff are friendly, and it is right across the street from the beach (there aren't any hotels right on the beach in Cape May to my knowledge). The hotel is located a few blocks from the "center" of Cape May's beach activities, so everything is within a very short walking distance - yet it is far enough away from things that you feel somewhat removed. One small drawback in my mind is that the pool does not have a lifeguard on duty. Sometimes, when checking in, it becomes a little tedious trying to carry luggage, etc. to a higher floor because you might need to wait a while for the tiny elevator they have. Yet, overall I would really recommend this hotel.

Very large condominiums with all the amenities including full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, pool, beach across the street and 3 minute walk to the center of town. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Staff very friendly and helpful. Most places in Cape May do not accept children and do not have a pool. We have been to Summer Station 3 times and already have our stay booked for next year. A great value and a beautiful town with something for everyone.

My husband and I have been staying at Summer Station every fall for 14 years. We love our suite and have found it very convenient since we started bringing our children. It's within walking distance to everything and right across from the beach. We love to watch the fishing boats start out before sunrise and then watch as the sun comes up over the ocean. A great place to stay!

We found the place on the internet more than 5 years. It has everything you would need at the shore. It's the most relaxing vacation we have. Every place else we stay is a "destination" vacation, like Disney World, so this is very enjoyable.
