BEST MOTEL in Rochester
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/11
Courtesy Inn. One of the best motel I ever stayed in. I stayed in for about 4 months and the staff was very nice to my mother and breakfast was excellent. The room was the cleanest room I ever saw (better than my house room). The rates were so cheap that I could've stayed for another month. It was very peacefull. They had FREE HBO, FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE, FREE BREAKFAST. My mother was very ill so we immediately had to incharge her to a hospital and without telling them, they lowered the price to 1 person. The Clinic is nearby, Saint Mary's hospital is only 2 blocks away. Then housekeepers had cleaned the room very nicely. So, I recommend you to stay here.

Stay Away
This place was bad. We came to Rochester to see the doctors at Mayo Clinic. We arrived at the motel late. I went to the room to check it out before took my ill husband in. The room was very small. I went to the front desk and asked if they had a handicap accesible room my husbadn is in a wheelchair. They said no and assured me the the wheelchair could fitt into the bathroom. They were wrong. It was late we drove 10 hours and had unpacked so we stayed. In the morning we went to check out the breakfast (coffee and danish) but the office breakfast area was only accesible by stairs so we could not get in with the wheelchair. We had to wait outside for the shuttle in the cold and wind for 10 minutes only to discover the shuttle to the clinic is not wheelcahir accessible. Finally after we returned form the clinic we told the office we would be checking out the room was too smal then was told they do have a handicap room but was told it is 15 dollars more. So if you or a loved one is in a wheelchair dont go here it is not very clean and we killed several bugs on the walls while we were there so the cleanliness has alot to be desired. P.S. Should you have to pay more for a hanicalp accessible room ?

Wonderful, Beautiful, and Awsome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/08
I stayed here in September 2008 due to a visit to the Mayo Clinic, and this motel was by far the cleanest place I have stayed at in Rochester. The best part the place was that I only paid about $50 including all taxes for the night. With the room came a microwave and refridgerator, free high speed interenet, free HBO, and a FREE shuttle to the Mayo Clinic. That sure beats paying $12 for parking per day plus the gas (now around $4/gal). There are also a lot of dining option next door, such as Olive Garden and TGI Fridays... Don't waste your money at other places in Rochester and just stay at the Courtesy Inn and save money while getting all the necessary amenities...

Never Again
By Cassie, 9/15/08
Rooms were dirty and had mold growing in the closets and shower curtains. Front desk would not give me manager contact info and were very rude.

Not Happy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/08
I called to make a reservation and it was my fault I didn't ask the room rate. I assumed it would be 35.00 for a single room but when I paid it was 49.95. Which still isn't bad but for a few dollars more there were several other choices. I felt the manager was very rude when I questioned the price and didn't even say Thank You. The room was not all that clean and smelled terrible of cigarette smoke. The towels were very small. I would not stay there again nor would I recomend it.

BEST BANG FOR BUCK IN ROCHESTER!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/08
This is by far the best place for the buck in Rochester.. Free Shuttle, Internet, HBO, Micro/Fridge, and the list goes on... They have VERY clean rooms and the staff is always great!! THe location could not be better, next to good restaurants and a mile from downtown. I have been staying for year or two now and have been very pleased with the place.. I saw the review before about the motel charging more for a smoking room than a non smoking, but let me tell you, that is FALSE!! I used to smoke a year back and now I have quit. There is no difference in price between the two types of room.. OVERALL, GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR A GREAT PRICE!!

Bad News Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/07
This hotel discriminates against non smokers by charging more for non smoking rooms than for smoking rooms. I did not sleep a wink in my room which smelled like an ashtray. When I voiced my dispeasure to the desk staff the true irony of the hotel's name became apparent. My concerns fell on deaf ears. Perfect hotel for anyone who sleeps well in a room that smells like a poker game (the morning after). Pay the difference and get a non smoking room, or better yet upgrade to the Motel 6 down the street.
