Great value - needs an update!
By ,
We have stayed at the Moffat Inn 4 times in the past - the most recent being last summer. I am in agreement that the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is second to none and the price is definitely right. The problem is that the place is in pretty rough shape overall. The hallways smell of chlorine and there are musty smells here and there. The decor and furnishings are in dire need of being updated. It is definitely not dirty but it is quite run down. My advice is to try and get a mainfloor room that has a small deck off of it. I would definitely recommend the place but don't expect high end. The location, friendly staff and price are worth overlooking everything else.

you get what you pay for

I stayed in this hotel last summer. The rates are very good but the hotel is not in good shape. The rooms were very dated, beds soft and uncomfortable and the bathrooms are something from the 70's. I would not recommend at any rate.

Fabulous Fall Weekend
By ,
Lucked out by reserving the last room a week prior to the Wine Festival! What wonderful, helpful people and we couldn't have found a more perfect place! The MoffatInn is right in the center of things. We actually walked to the Shaw Festival Theater! Would highly recommend the Moffat to any visitor. It is not the high end hotel, like the Prince of Wales, but you are treated like a high end guest!

Best Inn in Niagara-On-The-Lake
By ,
We have stayed at the Moffat the last 10 years at Thanksgiving time. It is a wonderful value and close to the Festival Theatre. We are able to walk down the street for dining and shopping, then to the theatre at night. It is in the perfect location and the staff is all very friendly. We love the Moffatt. It's become our fall tradition.
