worst stay ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/07
I stayed at the Super 8 motel on my way to california, there was nothing good about this hotel. The room at a terrible smell to it, we switch rooms but the next room was just as bad. There were ants in the room and in the bed. The breakfast was not even worth staying for. The front desk clerks were very nice, but the owner of the hotel was very rude, he yelled at one of his employees with us standing right there checking in. The motel would not honnor the rate published on the internet and in the super 8 book. The motel advertised that they allow pets and then refused to allow my pet in the room. All in all this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, the owner should not even be allowed to run a hotel.

Great stop!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/06
Highlight of the stay: The giant slide in the pool. When we arrived the slide was occupied by a long line of children; by the time we went down after 9:00 PM (2 adults, no kids!), it was occupied by 2 kids, and 7 adults. Odd sight, adults going down a water slide and laughing hysterically, but it was fun! Now we need to find more Super 8's with giant slides... Opened in Oct. 2005, the facility is new, clean, conveniently located, and comfortable. Coffee in the lobby not at all bad. All in all, a good stop. Try Antonio's Italian restaurant, less than 5 minutes up the road in Central Point. YUM!

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/06
Though the room was clean, the toilet ran constantly (we had to turn off the water between flushes). The worst part, though, was the lack of care and concern for us as stranded travelers. Our car broke down on the way to California and wouldn't be ready until 5 pm the next day. When we asked for a late checkout, we were told we absolutely had to be out by noon. When we asked if we could wait in the breakfast room instead of the (very public) lobby, we were again told no. We plopped our 3 teenagers and all our gear in the lobby and waited it out. We had booked a room for our return trip, but we cancelled it and booked somewhere else. We would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Nice Surprise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/05
I was impressed when I walked into the lobby. It was very open, bright and comfortable. Better than others I have been in. When I checked in, I thought the rate was a little high, but when I got to my room I was surprised. A king bed, a rocker recliner, and a very spacious room. Even tho it was close to the freeway, it wasn't noisy. The remodeled room was set up very nicely. A vanity area was separate from the bath which made it nice for two people. There was a table and two chairs sitting at the window. The view we had was of the mountains and was very nice. There is WYFI available for $4.95 a day and they also had a high speed cable in the lobby at no charge. There was a pool and hot tub outdoors that seemed to be kept up very well. We also noticed that there was an RV park behind the hotel that was part of the propety. It looked very nice also. In the morning we were treated to a nice little continintal breakfast. Cereals, breads, donuts, fruit and juice. Coffee was available 24 hours in the lobby, and there is a restaurant next door open 24 hours. Very convenient. Shopping was close by, just on the other side of the Interstate.
